  1. Also, holy moly this is a crazy fast field. Congrats to Paul on the win. Hope we can do better tomorrow.

  2. Lots of good info on the sidebar discussion. Scroll back through it for info on GWR and RBank CRX. Plus, great commentary as usual!

  3. There was some race at WGI I think where you and Misha started nose to tail. I remember asking both of you to take it easy and please don't race each other, because it's first stint and I had just rebuilt the car after watching the old one get balled up there. Had to be no more than 3 laps in and I see a green MR2 side by side when a silver BMW, both cars half sideways, sliding right up to the wall on the exit of the last corner, and one of them completely on the curb. I almost shat myself. You could have probably reached out the window of bio and touched Misha's mirror. Somehow y'all stayed clean, but good God you guys know how to scare the owners. It was like you had planned it out and rehearsed or something. Anyway, after that I've learned to just pretend I'm watching TV and it's somebody else's car.

  4. The race is almost over and wow look at that, 2006 Altima up by three laps, fast lap of the field except for a couple of Camaro's, the car carries plenty of fuel. I guess @E. Tyler Pedersen will be all over raising it by at least 30 if not 50 points, you know, just to be fair.

  5. Yep it does. I was able to get a great deal on my seat a few months back. Bimmerworld had 10% off and free shipping on Racetech. Saved like $150. Almost enough for the back brace kit.

  7. Not only alive, but with nearly full use of all my appendages.... One of them doesn't work quite right, but it was that way before the crash too....

  8. ChampCar is many things. The first two are: It is driven by hundreds of passionate members that love to go Endurance Racing on a budget. It is also a "Club" and must remain true to it's meaning. 1. The people that have put the flagtronics in place know much more about the device than we do. That is part of the problem. Had everyone been more informed about this then maybe the implementation of it would of went smoother & unchallenged. Back in CART an official had Toyota develop a better way to isolate the engines "Pop off Valve". It was brought to the Detroit race for all the teams to use. Cosworth and Chevrolet knew nothing up this & didn't want to use it untested. I can see their point. Trust was lost with CART over this & to me was the beginning of the end. 2. Some safety decisions need to move swiftly to be implemented into the rules so it might possibly save someone from getting hurt. The dash bar is one that's needs to be done & ChampCar has given everyone time to add this to the cars or build it into a new chassis. For safety items who's to say we have to wait till the end of the year petition/review process a vote should be able to come up any time of the year. But 99% of rule changes don't need to be rushed through and should have the input of the Board of Directors , ChampCar Tech and ChampCar members. Getting back to the "Club" part, ChampCar needs to have it's members involved. Conversion and a different point of view generally adds to a topic. There will be a few things coming up that will need to be looked before ChampCar starts to move away from it's roots. And I think all the members should have interaction with what the future brings. Thanks for the questions there will be more topics that I will add as time goes on.

  9. 1. What, if anything, would you change about the flagtronics rules and roll out?2. What are your thoughts on including *all* rules changes (including those written by tech, the board, Mike) being included in the yearly petition/review process in the attempt to gain some transparency in rules changes?
