  6. The plan is to hand over the equipment we've been using with ChampCar to them, as they will be conducting the system setup long term. So, should ChampCar staff feel confident in system knowledge and setup, at this time I give Flagtronics a 70% chance of being operational with ChampCar staff from Harris Hill onward. I know it's not a definite yes or no, but it's the best answer I can come up with at this time.

  7. Soon. My hope is that we will be done with R&D and ready for product release following the VIR24 event.

  8. When can we go ahead and purchase these and install them permanently as opposed to install and remove each race?

  9. are you having oil starvation problems? We run our 305 pretty high w/o issues...use 3rd gear pretty much the entire back side of Thunderbolt at NJMP, run a lot of 3rd at VIR too. The issue we find is the oil doesn't drain fast enough back down into the pan, so we cleaned up all the galleys. Are you still using a stock 5 qt pan?

  10. Oh, accusump is already going in. Tired of playing this game. Trying to rip points out elsewhere. Example, just to save 10 points, I was running lower offset bushings to get SOME negative camber. Since I have the motor out, I'm notching the k-member below the mounting points for the UCA and 'bending' it inwards then welding everything back in. Car needs 2* camber. Also took out my rear rod end adjustable camber bars and replaced with OEM. Not as reliable, but screw it. Once I run VIR this Aug, hard looking for TPI to lose ~100points.

  11. It’s a Dynapack system. I think for headers with full exhaust, an improved intake (not the manifold) and some tuning, a gain of ~25hp is reasonable. Forgot, it’s also got a lighter flywheel too. Most of the gains came when tweaking the VVT.

  12. If you've still got some units left, we'd be up to trying it out at CMP.

  13. The pump has way more flow rate than required, so we slow it down under the theory that the pump will last longer and it isn't quite so loud.

  14. You might want to look at Acusump. We have both a Pan and acusump on our C4... I understand about points, we are over points and take laps but even with 6 laps down at Daytona we finished in the top 10 overall.

  15. I'm back to hawk blue front and hp+ fronts on the rx7. Last about 24 hours. Cost about 280$. If you are running a 2nd gen rx7 with stock brakes and feel like you need more, there is something wrong. We had a booster lose the little assist valve and couldn't keep any brakes in the car for more than 8 hours. Google Nissan brake booster issue. It's how I found my issue on the rx7. There is a little piece in the booster that needs to be in place or your brakes feel like crap and you ruin pads.... Edit: I remembered the part in the booster that was bad. It's called the reaction disc. Here is a post from a z car forum that does a good job of explaining what can happen. https://forums.hybridz.org/topic/69706-reaction-disk-pictures-and-walkthrough/

  16. Drove car to work, totally forgot about the wipers breaking as we lined up @ the last race. This is why the car has tags. New rotors/pads going on front, but what the heck, no symptoms, RF caliper dripping from the case half? Tightened the bolts a little and it stopped, not bad, these are 3ish yr old china copies from rock auto. Over the years we have crossed/lost a wheel stud here and there being complacent/busy/tired after post race inspection, Daytona was double special when co-owner Mike took the jack before realizing I had placed the LF wheel on but not the nuts (in my hand talking to someone away from the car) I was last off pit road and had to push my luck with the impact gun. Messing with a cool random PIAA yellow tint fog in the spares box. Not great but in a pinch it will do if we loose a light @ the track. Picking up dinner and breakfast while bedding new pads Lunch Now waiting for generic replacement rear rotors and hoping UPS finds our MIA ebay diff cooler pump.
