Official 2021 - RVA Graphics & Wraps Daytona Beach 14-Hour
dinanm3atl replied to Bill Strong's topic in Race Events
RV Parking Question. Last year w/ IMSA the RV parking was out in the lake lloyd/overflow lot. Normally people can park in their garage slot. Or remember the 'driver lot' as well. What will be the 2021 setup? Trying to plan in advance and since IMSA was using half the space I know 2020 was different. The Supps currently says "There is 2 poles with power plan ahead" but no statement as to where. My assumption is back to the parking/hauler slot that matches up to garage spot. But want to make sure. If not there is the driver's lot right outside the garage areas open? -
I went from Simpson to OMP First. I love them. I did my first stint in them at RA this past weekend. I also wore them all morning until it was my turn. If I did that in the old shoes I'd have had blisters.

Flash to Pass – Jerk move or Good idea?

It's both. Just the way it is. -
Looking for a stint at Daytona. I am very experienced, clean driver and easy on equipment. Currently drive FWD but have the most experience in RWD. Our team just placed P3 overall and won class at Road Atlanta this year. We are racing at Daytona but always wanted to try some other cars at this track. I love racing at Daytona. Let me know what exists for this year!

As to quantity of cars there is a reality here and it is dollars and cents. Pit Lane supports ~35-40 cars. That is what a pro race will have on the support side. At 40 cars and current entries fees I would wager it is not sustainable. Or you would see 2-4x entry fee cost. How many people lose interest there? As to the incidents the 'too many cars' is fixed by penalizing cars/drivers more effectively. If people know penalties are coming driving will be changed. This would be helped by doubling up the corner workers likely. I know it is singles for the most part but I am sure 80 entries would

Moved over from the other thread... JAS #80 Mini Cooper S We rolled in Thursday PM. 6th in line. Got tech and came back on Friday AM. We had one driver new to team to filter through some laps and test a few items. Mostly smooth minus found a small issue that we were able to resolve during the test day. We then parked the car and watched what only can be called shenanigans in the last test session. The quantity of passing under yelling and racing under the waving yellow into turn one was really something to behold. And then the one car turning another... geez.Anyways we parked th

Good Bad and Ugly Discussion.
dinanm3atl replied to Clifford Beisler's topic in Technical Discussions
Can someone fill me in on how part of this works. Team builds a car. Shows up. Wins. Another team protests something and it is deemed "Not the correct item(s) being protested". Nothing changes. Overnight those items are now included added laps to Sunday. Why is something that is caught to and because the 'wording' or phrasing is wrong the protest is not upheld. This doesn't make any sense. I get self policing but this is just another car in the line of many cars over the history of CCES or ChumpCar or whatever you want to call it that the self policing is just ground -
This is really something. I can't believe it is even being discussed. 1 - The starting "BoP"(VPI) is broken to begin with. The cars that are in the 450-500pt range compared to each other is a joke at best. 2 - Points adding items are so skewed and have no thought to what it does for the car they installed. Cams are flat points. What gets more power Cams in a V8 or an I6? Supercharge a V8 or Supercharge an I6? An oil cooler is worth more than a wing? We had an multiple race winning IMSA driver in our car at Daytona in the wet to chase down the Cobra. We are supposed

#80 John Allen Special MIni Cooper S Daytona Race Recap AKA "The One That Got Away" Post Road Atlanta we learned we had an engine problem. The car was a salvage title with no known history but did survive our testing/tuning. Unfortunately it let go during the night shortly before the early checkered. We fixed, changed some stuff and did a LOT more testing. We unloaded ready to race minus prepping for potential rain. Rain-X, cleaned up all the glass and some other odds and ends. We also learned that while sitting in our garage waiting to load up for 2 weeks our radio h- 107 replies
