As someone that is part of the "arms race" (run the BBY Mustangs in AER that Ran 1:31 at RA two weeks ago) When we priced out the cost of the AER race for the Mustang and Champ race for the S2000, it was actually CHEAPER to run the Mustang. Also those who chose to put coolers on their cars will have Extra points to play with to add extra speed, Those who had the speed will stay just as fast with coolers.
  2. Also a cooler does not solve every issue. Parts failure can still happen. Engines can still be overrevved, head-gaskets can still fail and detention can still kill an engine. Transimissons can still be abused ect. We did 7 races last year and none of them with Champ because while the entry fee was cheap and racing was good, I wasn't willing to put a $4000 engine on the line to win and need a rebuild after the race because there was no cooler.
  3. Every other Sprint/Endurance organization that I know of allows coolers for no penalty. Saves $$$ both in parts and race operating costs.
  4. Up for sale is a very solid 1992 BMW E36 Caged rolling chassis. The car is rust free. Cage and Welding work is very well done. The cage was done to SCCA/NASA/Champ/ BMW CCA specs. Front subframe and lower control arms are from a 98 2.8 z3 which means the subframe already has the nutserts for z bar and e36 lower control arms. Bought this earlier in the year but ended up getting another car. Interior has fresh Paint TITLE IN HAND!! Located in Howell NJ. Asking $2399
  5. Buy a Crashed 325i or 328i and be ready to go! Hard/Time consuming Job already done!
  6. Decided to call it, Added up the cost and $5k for the weekend to just show up and not do a single lap. With 0 testing on the car I feel its the right decision. Anyways we are at RA right now for the AER event with our mustangs! May just sell the S2000 and run EC with one mustang.

  8. We decided to make a decision to pull out of the race, with 0 Testing on the car with the new Setup and being 14 hours from home for the first race didnt sit well for me or the team budget. With another renter signing on for next week AER we decided to take the time to Prep our second AER Car. Honestly we are reconsidering the S2000 in general and might just bring one of our mustangs or another mustang to Run EC in General, Anyone want a prepped Champ S2k 🤣 I hear that Champ sanctions burnouts these days on Pit Road -
  9. Thanks, I had wanted to cut the decals out for the Sponsor panel before the race but hopefully the car works fine on Friday so that we can get it done.

  11. Works through the AEM ECU, Since this is an early S2000 it has a drive by cable throttle. So the Ecu recognizes what gear you are in and has an RPM limit for each gear for 35 MPH. Is that Champs Pit Road MPH?
  12. One is a dedicated Radio button the other has a Connector on it that can be made anything that I want
  13. The car came with Gutted lights, Im not sure how oem lights would do on track. These have worked very well for us.
  14. Radio and Pit Speed limiter/Flash Lights Dash is An AIM MXG unit, like found in the new M4 GT4
  15. Depends What you mean by Non-Oe electronics. Dash Displays (Gauges) and Aftermarket Ecus are Both free
