  1. Mike, we are not sure yet. She ran fine through track day and for about 5.5 hours on Sat. We're thinking maybe rings? The whole thing will have to be pulled apart. Which probably means that all of the engine/trans work we figured on doing over the winter will have to be done now. Gingerman is definitely in jeopardy. And I am concerned some of our team is losing interest.
  2. At the risk of being tagged as "star struck", does anyone know when Michael Fassbender was on-track?
  3. They are NOT required. But, they are recommended. And being the "goody two shoes" team that we are, we're going to try and follow recommended practice. Trash? Maybe. But they worked and I already have the holes drilled for them. Gearhead_42, if you still have them, I'm interested. Heck, if your close enough I would even make a roady to get one.
  4. Anyone got a good suggestion where I can find the number panel light that Chumpcar used to sell. I drilled holes in the door assuming that I would be easily able to find another one. But alas, Champcar no longer sells them (as far as I can tell). The only places I can find them online requires a purchase of like 50 or more.

  7. We took the roll cage out of our old Focus (yes, the "I'm on my side" one) and are putting it in a different Focus. The welder/fabricator is finding all kinds of flaws in the old installation and improvements are being made. But, this has gotten me to thinking..... Is there an outlet or source for some type of "pre-inspection"? Mainly, my thought is to find any flaws in the roll cage (or, hell, the car in general) before we take to a race and find out at the worst possible time.

    This is Jim (big guy), from Red Shoe Racing. You'll have to forgive me, I've forgotten you and your friend's names (Harold, maybe?). Anyway, just wanted to let you know that Red Shoe Racing still exists, with the Focus. If either of you guys are looking to rent a seat we would be willing to talk. We currently have 3 drivers (although one is VERY green). We plan on racing Autobahn, Gingerman and Pitt.


    How goes it for you guys? What are your chump plans for '17? It looks like you guys did VIR, how'd that go?

    Jim Thornton here, from Red Shoe Racing (the slow yellow focus).  Kyle and Joe House are done racing, but RSR marches on (slowly).  It has fallen on my shoulders to be our teams ChumpCar liaison. I was hoping maybe you could help me to make sure I do the car/team registration right  Any help you can provide would be awesome. Hope things have been good for you. Thanks.
