I have run a neon in the east region for about a year and I have noticed a lack of other neons at east chump events. I purchased the car off the previous owner with a bunch of spares which is nice, but being pretty much the only neon means I have to carry a spare of everything I can to the racetrack. Mopar 4 life is a great resource, but they generally run the north region and I am based in Charlotte,NC and run VIR, ATL, Summit and sometimes New Jersey. This is probably a hurdle for other makes who are the only entry, so I am curious if any other teams are interested in some sort of technical alliance in the east region and would like to run a neon? Between the two teams we could have a spare of every part of the car including engine/trans, and it would still allow each trailer to look less like an episode of hoarders. We could pit together making repairs/ pit stops and any general service easier since we would all know the car. I would run a second car and rent seats myself, however I can only fit one car and spares in my 24 ft trailer. If anyone is interested pm me or reply here. The neon is a very cheap car to campaign in chump and is reasonably competitive in even stock trim. The value is pretty low as a well. My car is prepped fairly well, but only has aftermarket shocks to its name and has podiumed once this year at a $280 value. Generally we are top 10 with average drivers and top 5 with better guys on the wheel. I am trying to avoid the issue we ran into last weekend, where we blew the trans running 6th at VIR on the 4th hour and couldn't locate a trans to continue. Could be a good way to pool together and save money.
