Hi everyone, my father passed away last year and now I have too many race cars. A few have to go and this one’s one of them. My 1995 Honda Prelude underwent a full restoration from a former ChumpCar to a dual use SCCA STU/ EP car over the last three years. It was primarily designed to be a fast, competitive car for a father/son team to share during a single weekend. We had built a STU prepped H22A4, which blew up in 2020, so the car has its stock ChumpCar spec JDM H22A. It has an out of date SCCA Logbook, but we do have some paperwork left over from its Chump days. The car will need some setup work, brake maintenance & a timing light check before it’s put on track again, as well as a transponder. I do also have all of the needed parts to convert it back to a ChampCar, including it’s old shocks/struts, headlights, a steel hood, etc. For some of the originals here in ChampCar, the car used to compete under the MoneyShot Motorsports banner. It’s last Chump race was in 2014 at Sebring, and with me driving set the 3rd fastest time overall. The only issues we ever suffered from were broken axles, which was cured with a set of racing axles. If it matters, the car also has a Top-10 finish in a SCCA Runoffs, and was also co-driven by Randy Pobst in 2016 during a Sebring Enduro with SCCA. As the title suggests, I am looking to get into ChampCar and we're looking for a Race Ready (or mostly Race Ready) car to buy. I would also prefer that it be in Florida so I can take a look at the car before buying. Please send any and all cars... Thanks for the help!!!
Team Integrenader now under new ownership! Congratulations to Aaron, Brian, Rob (and others). Drive it like you stole it! ========== Team Integrenader is letting go of the car: 1988 Acura Integra with stock D16 motor. This is a GREAT car for someone just starting out. Details follow. Engine: D16 stock with new distributor, plugs, recent valve job (replaced, surfacing), ARP studs, K&N filter Safety: Full cage modified in 2017 (Competition Cages, Hillsborough NC) to include additional right-side bar. Large-size Fire Sense extinguishing system with 3 nozzles on the driver and 2 in the engine bay. 2018 window net. 2017 update to 5-point harness. Corbeau seat with slider - for drivers at 5'6" to 6'3" (comfortably). Transmission: stock 5 speed. Suspension: Aftermarket shocks (cheaters). Wheels: 17" with spacers. ORIGINAL stock wheels included. Brakes: EBC setup at present on the front; Hawk pads in the rear. Body: Recent additions of lexan on the rear and up front, with LED bars for that super-fun night driving. Comfort: Cool suit cooler (home made!) - works like a charm. Sentimental: This car has run at VIR multiple times, AMP at least once (for a 7x7) and Charlotte at least 3 times. Performance: During our time with it, we have run at 5 events, and finished 3 of them. Not fast, but consistent, and a great car for a novice team to take on. The last race was April of 2018 at Charlotte and we finished the 14 hours. Issues: Likely will need some rings before too long, and the right rear light is 86'ed due to an unfortunate interaction with a tire wall. Log book: check, plus documentation of various items over the years, and a couple of Additional parts: Engine bits and pieces, new brake master, salvaged instrument cluster, brake parts, etc. Location: Hillsborough, NC.
