  3. Looks like i might have a seat opening up for Sebring. we have a 1990 Miata the ran super reliable at Daytona, we could not have been happier with it. we took a heavy lap penalty due to some adjustable shocks but still finished reasonably well considering. the shock issue is resolved so i expect a much better finish at Sebring. looking at 800 a seat and 500 crash deposit that will be refunded at the end of the race.

  6. Now that my kids are grown and gone, I want to get back into racing. I'm looking for an existing team to join around Tampa - I'm in Pasco county. I road raced motorcycles back in the 80's when I was also a professional mechanic/tuner. I love the idea of endurance racing and would enjoy talking to anyone in this area about participating in the Sebring races this fall.
  7. Experienced (former FIA International license holder) looking for well organized, fun oriented, and podium looking team with reliable car. I am advanced instructor with PCA, and too busy with work to run my own team. I do number of track events each year with my GT4, daily driver is an M3, and I currently do not have time for my GT3 cup car. I am registered with Chumpcar, and ready to go - what do you have? Email if you have a good reliable car, bunch of good people around you - and need a driver/crew member. I am Porsche mechanic - good with wrenches. t.konvalina@yahoo.de
  8. Looking for crew members for Sebring in September for a 1.8 Miata team. Please get with us if you have any interest. We will have a large balcony suite with views of Hairpin Turn 7 for family and friends to watch from.
  9. Looking for drivers for Sebring 2017 in September. 1995 Miata with Spec suspension; Race Capture for in Pit car info; Cool Suit; Helmet Air; PTT Radio; Nascar style Roll Cage. Driver fee should be between $750 to $1,000 unless we require pit help workers, fee would increase by about $250 per driver. If we have enough drivers that can work pit detail we can save the extra cost. Car value is at about 600 points, so it will most likely be more for fun. Please contact me at ShelbyGS@aol.com if you have an interest or questions.
  10. So we were going over some video from last year and one of our drives remembered an odd crash that happened in front of him. We found the incident. It is in this video, about 30 seconds, first at real speed and then at 1/2 speed. White Miata (looks like 968) appears to rear end the black Miata (cannot make out the number) which then spins, perhaps hitting the inside wall, as the black car's front end comes around, it punts the white Miata into the air, which is narrowly missed by Flying Tigers Racing driver Andy Maiers, who was hard on the binders, and then slams down to the pavement before spinning into the outside wall. I hope nobody was hurt in this incident, because every time I look at it I get a good laugh.
  11. Two car northeast team owner (Kim Jong il racing), conservative driver, 15 years racing experience. Great Mechanic (shop owner) and always willing to lend a hand, have raced honda's, bmw's, mazda's and many more. Been racing chumpcar for past 5 years. WGI is my home track. Will be at sebring even if i don't have a ride so i can do a last minute fill in if needed. Did VIR 24 and just did VIR championship as well as WGI, Mid ohio, dayton, pitt plus many HPDE as an instructor this year. Have References if needed. Hope to get behind the wheel even if just for an hour. Thanks!
  12. Seems my whole team is unavailable for the New Years race at Sebring. I'm team captain for Empty Pockets Racing, we ran the #52 E36 BMW at the AMP D7 last month. I started the race on Saturday with a full stint and ran a full stint on Sunday, both clean. Easy to tell when I'm driving, I'm the only one on the team with red gloves. Most of my previous experience is DEs though I ran a 7 hour enduro with two other drivers put on by the SCCA. The race was split over two days this summer. We used it as a pre-chump test for our bimmer. We finished 10th overall and 2nd in our class. I've also been through the three-day school at Spring Mountain. Though we are closer to Daytona, Sebring is our home track. The second video is a SCCA PDX (I know, I know ... I don't know why the SCCA had to come up with their own name for a DE) - I'm driving my Spec Miata. If team is Central Florida based I can help with prep - I'm a pretty good wrench, if needed I can provide my tow rig and enclosed trailer, looking to be a team mate for the event, not just arrive and drive (though that would be ok too). 16. Looking for a seat at Sebring. I'm the pseudo team captain of Sparrow Speed. Just won A class at the VIR 24 hour. We won't be hauling that far down so I am entertaining the idea of flying out. I have not driven Sebring but I am a quick learner, study up, and come prepared. Willing to do pit stops and get dirty. Experienced in driving broken cars fast. I have a long HPDE record, "One Lap of America" dog, and a small collection of trophies from autocross and NASA TT. The VIR race was my third in Chumpcar building our own team. I do lots of data and analysis (see my charts all over the forums) and can bring that into your car and team. I will have some video coming up from VIR when I get to that...

  19. Hey everyone, my name is Will and I am looking to start or join a team in or around Sebring FL. I have three years of experience in FSAE building racecars and some karting experience. I have considered going the seat rental route but i dont think that is for me, I need something to work on to keep me busy on the weekends. So I would like to have my own car, or at least a local car to work on. My problem is that my friends dont share my love for endurance racing so i am looking some like minded people who are willing to put in equal time, money, and effort into this. My goal is to have a car prepped and ready to race for at least one of the 2016 Sebring races. So if there are any teams close by that need a member who is willing to pay their way AND work their donkey off please let me know. And if there are any people close by who would be interested in starting a team I'd love to hear from you!

  23. Aperture Racing has driver opportunities for the Sebring 14 hour September 26. The team is running an SN95 Mustang that will be running for class D and overall honors. The current plan is for stints to be split evenly between 4 drivers. Preference would be for pilots that have existing wheel-to-wheel competition experience, but those with accredited track day backgrounds (maybe even trying to branch out into racing for the first time) would be welcome as well. Aside from possibly being asked to assist with some minor pit activities, this car has a dedicated crew to service it, so drivers can enjoy a genuine arrive and drive experience and focus on their seat time. For inquiries, please send me a private message here, direct e-mail info@winnms.com or call 941-626-5930 to discuss details. Regards, Damien Winn
