RA Vids, Pics, Recap & Trash Talk

Recommended Posts

Had a couple days of the usual Chump ups and downs. Arrived with two cars and 6 drivers and had one E30 that decided now was the time to play Gremlins.

The other car ran well and moved into 2nd (I believe) until the second driver stint on Sat where our rear bumper got used as a breaking point for another car and both tail lights and rear body work needed repair to get the car back out. I went out third and had almost 20 min of full course to clean up a big oil trail coming up the hill from 12 to 13. Once back to green I had a great battle with the fast #198 SHO Time Racing IROC for a couple laps. After about 20 min of great action I was very lucky to have vacuum assist failure on the brakes into turn 3 and not 5. After double footing the brake pedal and getting an amazing leg work out I was able to nurse it back to the pits, letting a few of the fast cars I'd spent laps trying to get past back around.

Sunday was a much better day and I started in the #27. Had a fabulous stint, passing just about everything including several of the regular fast car/driver teams (One6 Motorsports, Green-ade, Chump Faces, EMITLAER, In the Red). Worst thing was the new GoPro facing forwards didn't work (bummed) but luckily the old GP facing backwards did. If anyone has footage dicing with the #27 on Sunday morning, please post it up.

Didn't see any TB action either day and that was a little disappointing.

Here's the front and rear facing footage from Sat to get things started.

The #91 Failcar Saab living up to it's name with a brake failure leaving the Carousel and entering the Bend... Huge thanks to Erik Hardy from Ghetto Fab'd racing for getting the Saab to the track so I could experience this first hand!

Pretty much just like Tim Bell at COTA, minus the ludicrous speed and resultant crashing.

I was surprised that we were so fast compared to the other cars. Normally we are beat up by BMWs in the speed department. Maybe you guys just need to do more testing.

I was surprised how easy it was to pass you , normally I struggle passing BMWs. It must have been because you were driving Bill.  :P

halston@racemsm.com - I think everyone's got out except for an issue with a bounced email but I want to make sure everyone ends up happy. Thanks, again!

Nice job not panicking. Im sure however that after the 10 or 15 brake pump you knew :)
