great videos! I wish I would have brought my camera to record, but forgot it. I enjoyed running with you guys. #24 RX7.

Likewise, we will share pits with you guys any time! I was dissapointed when you guys had mechanical issues (water in the cylinder according to one of your pit guys... i got a good laugh out of that one) and were unable to continue, i thought you guys would have been toward the top at the end. maybe we will run into you guys at a race next year!

IT was/is a very fun track, not a Fast track like some others but very technical and fun to drive. you really have to carry momentum in a crap can or you will never get out of the corners.

if you ever get the chance it is a really fun track.

I was hoping there would be some video of the 2 intense battles I had with you guys (in the 240z).

But then again, I guess it wouldn't be all that entertaining since I was behind you guys working on a pass :D

Loved the sticker on the windshield btw.

Yeah, we did have some close racing a few times... appologies for the contact... rubin' is racin' right??? oh well, no real dammage was done and it was fun to dice it up.

there would have been videos of it, but i forgot to download the memory card and charge the camera... i guess i was a little busy, tired, busy and tired. so all i got was one 35 min video (had to split it up into smaller files for upload to youtube). oh well.

you guys did race the piss out of that ture crap can. Hats off to you for tbringing a dionsaur like that back to life for such an honarable form of re-purpousing. maybe we will get to see you guys some time next year.

Yes its a very technical track and the next time you come you can probably pick up 5-10 seconds if you do a couple of these things. 1) Run T6 and T10 in 3rd gear don't downshift in the middle of the turn 2) going up into T4 you have to drive it on up the hill till it flattens out 3) You have to late apex almost all the turns but T4 you have to late apex to get set up for T5 4) You have to cut out all the coasting between all the turns 5)You have to drive it on further into the turns 6)You have to let the car track out not to scrub speed in all the turns 7)You have to get on the gas as soon as you turn in not halfway around or after the turn 8) Shift to 4th down the front straight to T1 and 9) Dont drive in the middle of the track if your in the middle your either entering the turn to early or you have exited the turn to slow. That just about covers it you did T3 as far as position at the edge of the rumble strip perfect.

Thanks for the pointers. I will deffinately use these next time i get down there. after watching these several times i realized i was cheating alot of the corners and not driving deep enough before turning in. also braking too soon. a few of your tips i did manage to figure out on my later runs. these runs were in the 1:46 to 1:48 range, with a few 1:50's on my first few laps . I dont know if it would be possible to shave 5-19 seconds (not sure the car has it in it... on my best runs it was at the limit, especially the tires (Fuzion HRI's), maybe with some good rubber it woud be possible to shave up to 5 sec. By my last run on sunday i mannaged to run 1:42's prety consistently ( i figured out the 4th gear on main strait, but still was braking too early for T1, I had smoothed out my T2 downshift and entry, also figured out how to properly set up for T4 also figured out how to take T10 and have much higher exit speeds and not abuse the tires.

When learning the track every corner was decieving, like you said you have to late apex almost all of them but coming into them they dont appear to be a late apex corner (at least not to me) all in all, it was a very good time.

Again, thanks for the tips. It helps to have an outsiders perspective and the constructive criticism is appreciated.

are you a regular at Hallet?

He is one of the driver's in the #1 car Aaron.

If memory serves he is a Spec Miata racer and races quite a bit at Hallett. I didn't even run on course, I hope to in the future, but I also appreciate the input.

Yes I am a regular and have thousands of miles on track at Hallett. Have held SM lap record at 1.29.3 and GT2 record in Super Cup GT3 Porsche at 1.20.5 (but have run 1.17.9). Also I was a driver on the #1car that was DQ'd so since all the drivers of the #1 have similar experience you can see why we were able to put 70+ laps on everyone. Also by your own admission you improved from 1.50+ laps down to 1.42 you should easily be able to pick up another 3+ seconds. The faster you get the smaller the improvements but just hang in there it just takes times (I have over 15 years there).
