And a dozen Easterners just keeled over from simultaneous heart attacks. :)

Quick, everybody go out and build a 240/260/280Z, they are the new unicorn.  Miata PI is being swarmed by them.

Great weekend, thanks to everyone, I wish I could remember names, but the Marvin the Martian team for helping us get tires Sat. night, the guys that lent us oil and a jack, and everyone else

The crash today happened right behind us I made a quick video of it. I'm really glad the E30 driver is okay.

Apparently there's a Fiero out there; anyone know what number it is?

Car 119 and they were just sorting the car out.

Looking forward to seeing this one run soon!

Bob Briggs built one to but broke in practice a few weeks ago so we will have a couple in the southwest!

The 136 Neon ran pretty good for a while Saturday but broke a cam belt idler pulley bolt ending our day.

The 236 e36 went just to run some laps and we had a blast driving it, putting six different drivers in the seat and everyone loved the car and we drove it until there was no tire left. We probably don't have the speed to make up the three laps the car takes with it but dems da rules. I guess this means we aren't a Neon team anymore and we are going to the dark side. Now we have a couple of months to COTA our next race to tidy up the car and strip our comfort goodies out of the Neon and put in the BMW.

I'm always quick to point out an organizations faults so I should do the same with positives. Bill and Sandi did a fantastic job at this race and my entire crew was pleased with registration, tech, start, flagging, etc. I also think the escorted track lap was brilliant. Good work CHUMPS.

Brutal, was the RX-7 driver checking messages on the phone?

Glad the driver of the BMW was okay. It was a really hard hit. I was in the black mustang directly behind them. I could almost feel the impact from in my car.

We we had a fun time this weekend. Broke a few parts but nothing too major.

I I must give credit to the 701 Red mustang. Those guys worked long and hard to get that car ready by race morning. That little v-6 auto hung in there really well. Hope to see them at future races and hang out some more.

Great job this weekend Chumps!

Team Thing2 had a blast this weekend and took home our first podium finish on Saturday

we could match the Hawaiian's lap times but they had better fuel pit strategy than we did.  Overall I was really impressed with the caliber of driving out there REALLY good racing!!

We are going for an all Z podium for October, you other Zs with me?

This was my first(and won't be my last!) Chump Car event that I got to drive. Attended Laguna in December and July last year as a crewmen/spectator.I had an absolute blast. Bill and Sandi and the rest of the gang are top notch. Fire and safety, track workers were first rate too. Can't say enough about the opportunity to get to drive a real race car,at real race track, and do some real racing. Never thought something like this would materialize. Big shout of Thanks to The Flyin Hawaiin's and 2 White Guys for a chance to drive their pride and joy. It was a great first track for me try try it out. "Houston we have a problem". "I feel the need, the need for speed". I am guessing life will never be the same.

Already looking forward to the next event!
