-----------------------------------------------------

A Sound Ordinance noise restriction of 90dB will be strongly enforced during the race. No race cars may be started before 8:45am. Sound level check occurs for all vehicles on track or in pit/paddock. Track management allows 2 attempts to get your race car compliant. A third infraction gets you off track and heading home! Sound monitoring is Driver’s right between Turns 5 and 6.

Paddock Area. Available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be advised there is limited power in the paddock area and connecting to a track building is not allowed. Paddock Speed Limit. Paddock Speed Limit is 15 mph; watch out for fellow teams, spectators, kids and pets. Caught speeding and it won’t be good.  Paddock speed will be strongly, strictly and unimaginably enforced. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash at all times.

Reminder that small children also need to be closely watched.

Pit Lane. Pit lane stalls will be assigned. First 2 barriers next to Garage 1 are set aside for PIT IN.

Race Day Spectators/Dogs: Guests are welcome to attend Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s races and will purchase a weekend pit pass wristband for $30 that provides access to the paddock and track viewing areas (plus in & out privileges).

Children 16 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

All teams, drivers, crew, family & friends are required to have a wristband.

And all dogs must be on leash at all times in the paddock area.

Alcohol/Smoking: And as with all ChumpCar races, absolutely no alcohol during the race…including your guests and spectators (it’s grounds for immediate removal of your car and team from the race and property…period). And glass is never allowed on property.

NO SMOKING IN PIT LANE EVER and NEVER IN THE PADDOCK AREA WHEN FUELING.

Concessions: The raceway food concession stand will be open for the event.

BBQs: The track does allow the use of small BBQs, charcoal or gas. Just remember BBQs must be supervised at all times, a fire extinguisher must be within 15’ of the open flame, and that all open flames are (at a minimum) 30’ from all race cars, fuel storage or other flammable sources.

ABSOLUTELY NO FIRE PITS!

Pit Vehicles: Pit vehicles are allowed in the paddock (but not anywhere else on track or off pavement), and must obey the 10 mph paddock speed limit. No one under 16 allowed on any ATV, golf cart, motorized bike, or scooter. Any pit vehicle violations will result in penalty laps to the associated team.

Are they actually allowing 60 cars to start?

Bill said some of the Saturday/Sunday cars are in waiting.  As terminal cars are not able to make it to the track others will be let on with a prorated charge I believe I read somewhere.

Hey everyone -

I can't believe it's November already! Hope everyone had an amazing end to their summer, and are gearing up for some great memories at Laguna Seca this year! My team and I are very excited to be covering this amazing race at such a gorgeous track! It's always such a blast shooting for ChumpCar, and we're looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Just wanted to make a quick post on here to advertise an early-bird option to sign up a couple weeks ahead of time to get photos/video of your team. As drone laws have gotten more strict and tracks are being a bit more wary of allowing their use, we will be there primarily shooting photos of teams and getting general event coverage. I will post back on here as soon as I find out if the track will allow drone coverage of the event, and if so, in what capacity will they allow it. But for the time being, if anyone would like to get our early bird special, feel free to sign up ASAP!

Jon D'Avolio Productions Photography Early Bird Special - $75

We still have a bunch of pre order slots left available, so don't wait! There are a lot of teams entered this year, and we've already received many pre orders, but we are going to try to accommodate those who want to pay in-person at the track as best we can. We will be accepting PayPal, Venmo, and of course cash at the track.

**Note** Due to conflicts with some of my photographers, we are sadly ONLY able to provide coverage for teams racing on Saturday and Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience for those who are racing on Thursday and Friday, but unfortunately we are only able to shoot on the weekend this time around.

Also - Just in case anyone from the other thread didn't get a chance to see some of the awesome photos we snagged last time, feel free to check them out here! - http://www.jondavolio.com/racingphotography

If anyone has any questions, special requests, or anything at all, feel free to email me personally at davolio.jon@gmail.com.

Thanks everyone! Let the mayhem begin.

PS -

HUGE Thanks to Bill Guzenski and the rest of the ChumpCar family for having us back out to shoot some amazing photos and video! You guys are awesome, you run a fantastic organization, and we feel very thankful to continue working with you all.

Why do the supps talk about continuing the race on day 2 and never show a time for checkers on day 1?

This is 2 seperate race events each with 2 seperate races, correct?

How are mov laps going to work?  these are technically 2 seperate events.

FYI... Crank Yankers is using a Samsung Galaxy S5 in the car to send live video.
They downloaded the software from the app store and then clicked the config link and were ready to transmit. Set the phone to transmit either in 640 or 720 mode. The web site at RaceCast displays at 640 res.
