All race results are posted here. I am going to work on getting a more standard labeling of all races so that they are easier to find if something weird happens.

Uhhh, nope, or I'm blind ?

I've been on track racing with you so blind obviously, haha. It was great to meet and briefly talk to you and @Philippe. I was next door renting the 257 Neon with such a cheaty engine that it was bursting out of the engine bay. See you guys at Barber hopefully.

Ouch! Did the car in front of the Firebird just park there in 10?

The 2014 Chumpcar race was the very first W-2-W race ever at AMP, so no 2013 race exists. The Hong Norrth results are from Saturday but I can't figure out how to get Sunday's.

He did, but that was because a Mustang parked it in front of him to avoid another car that had got it wrong coming into that corner and slide in front of him.  So the Firebird became the meat in the sandwich with the only car that didn't get damage was the one that originally caused it.    Perfect storm scenario.

And yes there was a 2013 event there.  I was about 30 seconds behind Hong Norrth and was catching them at 2 to3 seconds a lap when I learned another lesson.   You don't go outside to pass in T16 unless you know that the car is going to give you the room to do so.  I tried it running against the 199 or 99 ( i forget ) black BMW and he pushed me off the track, causing me to hit the wall on the straight.  I know he saw me as I was thinking my side mirror was going to hit his side mirror, we were that close.  I never thought he wouldrive me to the edge and make me drop two wheels off.  He did.  Never came to say sorry either.

You might remember the leaders wrecked themselves the second day the same way coming thru that corner, we were in 4th at the time and they gifted us a second place finish. There's video of that from the leaders car somewhere.  I'll look for it later.

Me passing the leaders.   It took about 20 minutes of running behind them before I got close enough they let me by, it was actually really cool watching them dice back and forth for a long, long time on track.    I think I actually asked them to post this video as we didn't have any from the weekend.

You were so fast in your reply that you caught my stupid mistake before I edited the first race date!

I remember the Sunday race in 2013 very well. We used up our MX3 winning Saturday's race and ran Sunday with used up tires/brakes/everything. With 15 minutes to go I saw the leaders coming up behind me FAST and they caught me right at the Kink. I tried to give room on each side and they took different paths around me. I had a front row seat to the carnage as they came together right in front of me down the front straight. I remember the red car hitting the left armco so hard that it literally jumped 4 feet off the ground. That scared the crap out of me and I was shaking even after the race.

After watching the video it seems that both of the leaders went to the left of me.

I also learned the hard way about the outside of T16 during a track day before the race in 2013. I absent-mindedly followed the car in front of me through the turn and he was WAY outside... and I was even outsider. I was 4 wheels off and watching that wall coming fast. I got lucky and missed everything, but it was a moment I'll never forget.

What's your weight percentage ?  Asking cause there was a new build, a smaller Lincoln at AMP this time that had completely gutted everything rearward of the axle.  It had two fenders, frame rails and alu bumper.  That's it !  They were using the stock gas tank that mounted under the rear passenger seat location, forward of the axle..  Could not get it to hook up at all to the track, spin, spin, spinning the tires.  Prime example of too much material gone for proper handling.

I know you don't have that big of a problem with it, but has it affected you to the point of adding wght to the rear, or finding more to take off the front ?  Just curious.
