BoiledPeanut 81
Does anyone have an experience with cell service around the track? At WGI we had great service in the paddock, but lost service once on track.

BoiledPeanut 81
We use a Straight Talk phone and data plan for our live streaming. We ran it for one session on Friday practice and it worked fine. We did not change any settings, but could not get it to stream correctly on Sat. It was extremely glitchy and unwatchable. Any thoughts ideas? Could it be the high number of cellular users on Sat overloaded the system? But others were streaming fine, so kind of confused on this one. Bill Strong 7,221
I believe straight talk uses the Verizon network and are kicked to lower performing nodes when traffic is high. Most likely this is what happened. The VZW phones operated flawlessly. My sprint phone did not do too well and was relegated to phone to the studio operation during the telecast.
