Boy Blunder
I'm looking for some video from around 2:15pm in T10. My brother who only has a couple races under his belt was in the car (Car #11 - Green BMW E36) running with a mixed pack of faster/slower cars. There was contact that resulted in his spinning and a hard hit to the rear end of our car into the concrete wall. I've been unable to understand from him exactly what happened. Not looking to place blame - unless it was my driver. Then I need to know who I owe apologies. Mostly just want to understand what happened so I can review it with him. If anyone has video I would appreciate seeing it. Privately is fine or share it here and we'll take our lumps if he caused it or contributed. Overall, we were having a great race before the incident. Moved up from 39th to 7th before our fuel stop/driver change at 2PM. Got the car back on track and finished the race in 30th. As always, Chumpstaff ran a great event. Mike was nice, but we missed Andrea!!

It is hard to make out exactly what happens (we all need to pitch in $10 so the Infiniti can get a camera that does 720p!! ). Seems like there should have been room for the 300 on the outside (although I'm not sure 3 wide into that turn is a good idea). Maybe the 300 moved down on the 280 because he forgot the other car was on the far inside? Hard to tell. I would like to see more angles of this if they are out there. (I wasn't with any of the teams involved - I'm just interested in whatever can be learned from it)
Team Infiniti
Luis gets punted in 5 by a red (I presume bimmer), yes I see the other spun car but rear bumper bears witness to more then the vid shows. Chronically short on pit help I have chosen quantity over quality, no clue on what hero3 settings were selected but it finally will record a uninterrupted race on 64gb chip, watch in a smaller window rather then full size on your 4k monitor? Saying that Donations/collections for video better equipment or for some tech junkie to hang out are always welcome (hell we don't even have in car lap times) Edited February 6, 2017 by Team Infiniti
Donovan
Did anyone catch #38 red RX8 spinning out in turn 5 around the 2 hour mark? If so, would love to see what it looked like from outside the car! Mental note: make sure downshift is complete BEFORE turning... luckily only damage was a rear tire knocked off the bead and gravel inside the rim. They don't have an online gallery, but offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee if you are unhappy with the shots. And, MSM is owned and operated by ChumpCar racers / members.

Although it's not a valid excuse.

That is why I always look while I'm on the downhill part of the esses, because the line of sight is good even if you are right on someone's bumper

Was the yellow for miata/camaro/infiniti or before, we served a 5 min penalty for yellow, driver said he missed the flag, but still reviewing to find it. This is why I never am the one to make it three wide in a corner, and very rarely on the straights. it seems like 50% of the time it ends up bad. Last lap for the win maybe all bets are off, but in the middle of the enduro there's no reward for the risk.

In the video referenced, there is a waving yellow for the Miata that is out before the Infiniti enters turn 5 (trailing the Camaro). The three car train (BMW is the caboose) goes by the waving yellow and then the BMW hits the Infiniti when the various drivers see the Miata. The next group of cars through (including the camera car) very nearly had their own incident (watch the mirrors of the camera car).
