I will post hotels as I add them. Meanwhile, hope this saves you some planning time/effort! Please let them know that you are calling for the 'ChumpCar' rate, or else you will not get a discount. Also, you have until 1 month prior to the race date to receive a discount.

Yeah... Laguna is tough. Thanks for the information on hotels. It is appreciated.

What also would be helpful is whether there will be dry camping at the track or hookups for RVs. I would be glad to help with this for the Western region.

Yes it would be nice for the East venues as well.  I'll pitch in what I know for Watkins.

Watkins Glen:

Dry camping/RV:  Yes, free.  No electrical, no water.

RV hookups:  Electrical available for $50/night (I think) payable at the the track, premium spots more.  Water fill-up available free.  Dump station free on-site (correct me if wrong)

Is there an official spot for chump for the Autobahn race yet?   Anyone have suggestion on decent (no need for medical care in the morning) motels that a chump team can afford, that isn't too far from the track?

I scanned local establishments a few months ago.. it looked like the best place to stay (subjective combination of location and price) was the Harrah's casino hotel.... 7 miles away.

The cheapest option in the area is an Econolodge 16 miles away.

Barber:

Hampton Inn Leeds, AL  Just outside the track is best option.  Next option is to go east on I-20 to the next exit 144 there is a Comfort Inn and a Best Western that are decent. Days Inn at same exit a little more dated but ok.

Camping electrical 50amp at the track on 3 levels, usually $50/weekend bring cash because its all the take.  If you park at lower paddock bring an extension cord because plug is across the fence in hot pit. about 20 feet or more to the plug from the fence.
