Autobahn Who's coming?

We will be there!

It's a really fun 'momentum track' (that's what some experienced racers called it). It has some medium speed turns leading into straights so the cars that can carry speed will shine).

Fuel burn should be comparable to or even less than Gingerman... far less fuel than Road America.

The layout is very forgiving to off track events... lots of grass.. guard rails are generally far off track.

Oh, and I almost forgot... facilities are great! There's a covered observation deck at start/finish which is about 25 feet high, complete with park benches.. lots of space. Perfect spot for spectating.

Bromance Racing - Maybe, convince me why we should :)

1) Autobahn hasn't held a ChumpCar even since 2014! Come out and race it this year because it may take another few years for it to show up on the schedule again! Gingerman... Road America... NCM.. those tracks hold races every year. It's always fun racing at a new track you haven't seen before!

2) It's a 12 + 6!! So much track time! Many events are single day 12 or 14 hour races.. and with this one you basically get one of those plus another race the next day! All the advantages of a 2 day event (have issues day 1, redeem yourself day 2), with all the advantages of a long race on the first day.

3) At just 5 hours from Galesville, Wi. it's the third closest track to you guys!

4) See other reasons in my first post, above.

Because I am going to be volunteering.....that's why you should all come out and race

Well that clinches it for me. That will be odd, me racing and you being the volunteer. Role reversal...

More time for beer drinking and I don't have to get up and drive the next morning :)

Sounds like a party.  Can't race, car will be beat from WGI, but maybe I can volunteer at this one.  Who do I bug for info?

Hey earn some free Chump bucks and watch other people do some pit stops.  I'm all for that.  I just send Chisek an email usually.

Just curious why you would rather run WGI over Autobahn?

1.  I really really want to win WGI

2.  Think I might have a chance

3.  Its a really fun track

4.  Long weekend minimized vacation time required

5.  ITS WATKINS GLEN!!!!

Autobahn looks like a really cool track, but I'd consider it interchangeable with Gingerman or PIRC.  Fun to race, but there's something about the big twisty tracks like Mid-O, WGI, VIR, and Road Atlanta that makes them hard to beat.

Autobahn and Gingerman are the 2 tracks I enjoy driving the most. Interesting to hear your opinion.

WGI killed Thelma....

Doesn't seem like a friendly place to me. Keep it between the metal.

I think you would really enjoy VIR Grand West. That track configuration may be one of the best in the US.

If this is the full course with the infield added to it, I do like that layout except when there are tractor tires at the apexes of each corner.

No reason to beat around the bush, the real reason for people to get signed up is that the race won't happen if they don't.

It's still early. Daytona didn't have a lot of people signed up in January but filled up quickly.   NCM has 5 teams registered.  With running the full course my guess that one would fill up to 30-40 teams or more.  As they get closer more people sign up.  I'm signing up early to save myself $200 :).  Quit being a Debbie Downer.

For Autobahn? Thought you were working it? Or do you just mean any race in general?

April 4th is the early entry deadline for Autobahn. Let's see if there's a few more entries over this weekend.
