Guest TroubleOnWheels
After 13 hours of sleep, 4 cups of coffee and 800mg of Ibuprofen, I am ready to get back to work. Here are the lap times for everyone, feel free to dissect as your OCD sees fit.SaturdaySunday
Guest Tracer-X
Is there any list of cars who received bonus/penalty points and how many they got? That would help us see the field transparently to see how our cars/drivers compare.

Guest posnova
raw datammmm. Dinner for the mind. Excel spreadsheets chewing already for most consistent driver (as based on laptime with lowest cumulative deviation high or low from average), fastest lap for each driver, and a few others. Guest NSFW
I'd also love to see which teams got how many bonus laps and penalty laps. I'm guessing RCMP got the full 10 theme laps, but did the Surfboard wagon's V6 really fit the $500 rule? And how many bonus laps is a tweetable string of colored lights and a glowing tail worth? parid
Not to worry, the theme/engineering bonus laps are gone from the 2011 rules. It won't be an issue anymore.
Rex
No theme or engineering bonus laps? I missed that. Overall we are glad to hear that, as we lack creativity to earn any!
Guest schwank
Thanks for the laptimes... gives us a bit of humorous ammo at our one teammate who drove an entire 90 minute stint on Sunday with the transponder turned off. Despite the car working much better after our engine swap on Saturday, when I got in to drive we were dead last with zero laps despite having run fine for that first hour and a half. We figure he drove at least 50 laps that were not recorded.Evidently he never quite looked at the gauge panel to notice the switch labeled TRANSPO was in the off position! Guest Brent Picasso
...And how many bonus laps is a tweetable string of colored lights and a glowing tail worth? Actually, we didn't mention the tweeting capabilities of LabRat1 (http://www.autosportlabs.net/Tweeting_Race_Car) during tech so that part didn't really affect the 5 bonus laps we received for themeing

You can get engines from junk yards for cheap, it was an '87 pathfinder(if I remember correctly) motor. Sounded like a straight six almost. No theme or engineering bonus laps? I missed that. Overall we are glad to hear that, as we lack creativity to earn any! I thought I didn't see anything there, guess I wasn't mistaken! No worries. I think it'll be nice to spend that extra time working on the car instead of the theme. Then again, it might reduce the fun some, if people aren't encouraged to do a theme. Thanks for the laptimes... gives us a bit of humorous ammo at our one teammate who drove an entire 90 minute stint on Sunday with the transponder turned off. JustinParcher
I take it the 81MPH/1:24 run by Produnk was a scoring issue? That seems far beyond the scope of a crapcan on this track, not to mention it is vastly out of line with the rest of their laps.

JustinParcher
I figured it had to be something like that. Easy source of making up laps?
Eh! Team
Great weekend in Portland! Thanks again to all the Chumpcar crew, & all track workers & volunteers Have to admit, I really enjoyed the 12 hour Saturday, 6 hour Sunday format. One gets a good feel for night racing without getting the 4am fog chills. We also learned that not only windshield wipers but washers would have been a great asset to our car. We had none, Rainex or Pledge only goes so far..and glass beats Lexan hands down! If Spokane could be changed to a 12 + 6 hour format, I would be very happy with that.Pete

JustinParcher
Good point... HahahaReminds me of those cheap or old racing video games where you could just run circles around the start/finish line with each pass of the line counting as a lap. Guest cueball1
I'd love to know about penalty laps too. Wondering how many penalty laps you get for a v8 mustang that's 100% reliable and can outbrake and outcorner the Miatas!
JustinParcher
I'll chime in- our PontiAxed Huffaker Fiero tribute car got zero penalty laps (not surprising for a bone-stock 80's GM product), and I believe 3 bonus laps for theme, in addition to the maximum five laps for charity donation. Made a small dent in the 20 laps we missed at the start of Saturday due to electrical problems.
Guest Tracer-X
I'd like to turbocharge our Ford Escort so that we can try to keep up with cars on the straights. I am curious about the Miata that was turbocharged and innercooled.
