yinzer
EDIT: SOLD! I'm moving, so my team is losing its only garage! One of two things will happen: 1. YOU will take over storage duties of our car by becoming the newest member of our illustrious racing team 2. YOU will buy our car and have to find your own friends to race with The choice is yours! We have a 1991 Miata that we've run in LeMons and Chump over the past 3 seasons under the Speedycop banner. Ready for AER and SCCA/NASA ITEZ class as well. This car is a competitive 0-laps Class A LeMons and Class A Chump car. It has a fresh never-raced 1.8L low-mile JDM imported engine with Flyin Miata 1.6-to-1.8 swap kit. It also has a JDM-imported low-mile transmission with only 1 race on it, along with a lightened flywheel and rebuilt shifter. Team Dynamics wheels all around, along with a spare set. Included, but not yet installed, are a set of low miles (<5k) OEM Bilstiens from a Mazdaspeed turbo - these are the best coil-overs to run in Chumpcar since they are OEM and thus don't count against the build value. The stock 91 coils currently on it work fine (keep them for spares just in case!). New front ball joints, end links and tie rods only have 2 races on them. The roll cage is a custom cage made by Roll Cage Components, modified to be about an inch higher than their standard Spec Miata cage to allow for taller drivers to clear their helmets. Plenty of time left on the harness certifications. Fire suppression system is ready to go. Windows nets and arm restraints included. Cool shirt icebox and pump installed. Comes with two seats: A Kirkey and a generic racing seat (we prefer the generic, very comfy but a bit high for really tall drivers). Momo quick-disconnect wheel on an NRG shortie hub. Big strobe alarm Longacre Accutech water temp gauge, just in case. Push-to-talk NASCAR-style comms pre-wired. Includes a spare new aluminum radiator, and a few bins of other misc spares. This is a sorted car that performs well and has finished strong every race we started over the past 3 years, never having to come off for more than routine quick maintenance (or penalties... stupid miata drivers). We're selling because half the members of our team are moving out of the area, including the owner of our garage (me). The 1.8L still needs wired up and watered (harness is in, just need to plug in the sensors), and the exhaust needs reconnected before she'll fire up again - a leisurely day's effort to be ready to race! Only reason it's not done is because we're out of a garage, its hot outside, and we're lazy Most budget enduro projects you find need thousands of dollars and dozens of hours to pass tech (even if the ad doesn't say so -- ASK ME HOW I KNOW). This is about as close to turn-key as they get. The old 1.6L is included as a spare if it finds a home soon (ran when pulled, but showing age). Great rebuild candidate if you want to go turbo! So if you want to buy everything out, we're asking $3,500. If you want to join and provide storage, we're just asking that you actually OWN your home in the DC-metro area and can dedicate parking inside your garage with room to work and can store a few bins of race weekend gear. yinzer
Yes, but it might be gone this weekend. Someone has made arrangement and is bringing a trailer
takjak2
PM incoming. If it's not gone this weekend put it in my garage near Ashburn.
