We'll be there in the vette.

Just so you all know, in our team, we have 2 ringer drivers, 2 good but not professional drivers, and 2 extra slow drivers. We'll be putting some sort of signage on the car to let you know who's behind the wheel.

We've also reached out to Chump to get extra instruction prior to the race so we all have the best understanding we can.

Finally, if you feel like we're doing something wrong, or have a complaint, please come see any of us so we can address it.

Dangerously slow? If so, that's dangerous.

Good strategy- everyone will be so tired of picking on you before the race, you won't have to listen to them after the race!

I look forward to a.) figuring out how to make a clean pass and b.) getting my doors blown off, depending on who's driving your car for that stint- keeps it interesting

(oh- and just FYI, rotary racing is in B class this year, one less contender for an EC win)

Reminds me of a story somebody told me, could have been Chris with Team Const. the last time we ran this race,  He said they had been passing this Pontiac possibly, then one stint it just blows by them.  Turns out it was Bobby Labonte in the car.

Umm, yes dangerously slow is dangerously slow; I meant slow as in about 10 seconds/lap off the better drivers pace.

be . careful.

My sons Opel GT is slow. like very slow. 15-20 seconds off the leaders per lap at VIR South.

Some of the fast guys just have no clue how to deal with slower traffic. Some of them are effing idiots. But I don't want to get into name calling.

Just really stress to your slow guys to hold the line, don't drive by the mirror, and make certain to hold on while dumbasses dive-bomb and try to make the corner before you can. Scare the shit out of them. seriously.

Damn, I still sound pissed off. Well, not as pissed as the car owner.

The only problem I have with slower traffic is the lines are sometimes unpredictable so when you take an opening they give you sometimes you're forced off track due to them not looking in their mirrors or maybe it's the slow red mist effect.

I'm sorry, but I just can't let this go.   It's just too funny given the source.  When you're driving that fast MR2 it's dumbass slow drivers. When you're driving the Opel, it's dumbass  fast drivers.      Can't argue with you as I've been on both sides myself driving slow cars (Saturn)  and fast cars (BMW) , just find it funny coming from you. :D

For all the folks worried about how to deal with slow traffic, LeMons is your friend for developing race craft, in general, but especially honing your skills of being ready for the unpredictable and quickly deciding how you'll get around some VERY slow cars.

I know a lot of people poop on the series but it can be very valuable developmentally. I've always had fun there too.

George Carlan had a fantastic bit about everyone slower than you being an ass and anyone faster being a Maniac.

Idiots are slower; Maniacs are faster. I'm familiar with Carlin's segment -- for obvious reasons, posting video links is a No-Go. :)

We are in after taking last year off. I'm bringing some slops who just received their learners permit.

You should get "Noob 1" and "Noob 2" placards for the back of the car so everyone else knows when those guys are behind the wheel.

Random Question - Is there a tire changing machine available for use at VIR?

Sasco Motorsports at VIR does offer tire mounting and balancing.  They are open on Friday and typically Saturday mornings.  Paid $100 to mount and balance 4 tires.
