Ham Sammich
I can't remember the name of the track, but there was one or two that people found highly abrasive and you should plan ahead with more tires than normal. We're gonna do a Brainerd race, and I just want to know if it's about average or we should bring extra tires. My gut says it's probably nothing to worry about... BUT some online tire places are having 4th of July sales I don't want to miss out on. Every little bit helps.

ABR-Glen
The short course is easy on tires since the repave a few years ago. The long course still uses part of the old track and in particular the banked turn 1 is hard on the left front. I would plan for a new front left for anyone racing on the long course. Administrators E. Tyler Pedersen Posted June 28, 2017 Administrators Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 Wait is there going to be a Honda showing up from Montana?

Well, maybe as a back up car. With our luck I probably need a back up for the back up car. if all goes well, we're gonna shake down a non-Honda car. My confidence is low, so we'll see. I don't have any 5 lug rims, and this is all a different size. It's kind of a "starting over" situation with spare parts. TRULY, we're coming out to have fun with a friend of mine and his dad. Mostly looking forward to a few laps and some BBQ in the pits with friends. I think my head is in a good spot for this adventure. I have ZERO hope for a good result, and I think that takes the pressure off. Likely be our funnest race ever, that's how it always goes. My biggest problem is that some dude that looks like me, put on 20 pounds this winter and looks like a stuffed sausage in his driving suit. THAT guy needs to get on the treadmill ASAP! We could do some Bud light, I don't know how awesome the BBQ will be. It depends on if my buddy and his dad show. Hard to throw a BBQ for just 2 dudes. Swing on over, I'm sure we'll be broke down early and telling tall tales. Edited June 29, 2017 by Ham Sammich

tommytipover
One year, at a Longest Day of Nelson. @bjaspud was our team-leader and we definitely placed BBQ pretty high on the list of priorities. When the car broke late Saturday afternoon, we parked it for dinner before making repairs. Don't wanna be holding your BBQ with dirty hands, you know?
