dipperk120
So we had a change in planes for our driver pool for Gingerman -- which means we need one or two experienced drivers to round out the field for Dead Pedal Racing's Maserati BiTurbo. Would like to have someone who has spent some significant time wheel-wheel in a reasonably quick car. We currently have two drivers and split the fixed costs and per hour costs that each driver has -- so ideally, we would have a third and fourth driver. Message me if you are interested -- the 87 Maserati BiTurbo is a blast to drive, pretty competitive, and surprisingly reliable, and the crew and crew chief is outstanding and very experienced. LX Sport
Damn, bad timing, but I would've been all over this. Great team, great car. These guys have this car dialed in. If I could swing it, but between work and in the middle of moving I dont think I could be there. Good luck guys!

Good luck guys! thanks - got our driver and we are pretty excited about this one -- shorter tracks should be better for the Maserati because of gearing and light weight. You going to make it to RA? I am just trying to recover event and direct consumable costs not the cost to build or maintain the car, so the formula is a bit complex. However, without getting into all that, a race like Gingerman is about $1200 assuming 4 hours and time at test/tune on Friday. We don't often look to add outside drivers to the car -- but it does happen on occasion, and want to offer it to reasonably experienced drivers without costing an arm and a leg for them. PM me if you are interested. I really am not kidding when I say that we are considering a second Maserati for next year if we can develop a fairly consistant pool of drivers. You going to make it to RA? We plan to. Still working on figure out exactly what's wrong with the motor. But yeah, Ideally. One of these days I'd love to join you guys for a race. Maybe when you get that second car going!

Still thinking of doing Barber and LS again this year and will likely need a driver of two for either or both of them. Have no idea yet on how we would pull the car to Birmingham for one weekend and then to Monterey for the next without working on the car between times, and I am not so sure I am up for all that driving pulling a stupid trailer, but it does sound like a great road trip, doesn't it?
