nissanguy38501
Just wondering who is planning on going and whether or not there are any rental seats available. i may have two - myself and one other - who may be interested in renting if we can't get ours back together in time for this event. Let me know please...

Rodger Coan-Burningham
We will be there but no rental seats.
dogtired
Maybe we could get Molly Brown's to sponsor us a team..
Snorman
We will be doing it again this year and will have seats available in on one of our cars (Mazda 626). S.
Justin9
Speedway Creations will be with the new Camaro, and if I can figure out how to get two cars to the track (i.e. buy another trailer), we will have the RX7 there for rental.

dirtybird222
The Fat Crack Accord will be there. One seat is always subject to availability because my work/travel schedule is so volatile.

This is currently what we are planning for the year in case you want to leave the car out here. We most likely won't do both "maybe" races so looks like about 5 or 6 races. 1. Road Atlanta 14 hour Feb 3rd 2. Daytona 14 hour April 7th 3. NCM "National Championship" 8+8 hour Parc Ferme June 16-17 4. VIR 24 hour August 11-12 or Sebring 14 hour Sept 22 (1 or the other, not both.) 5. Road America 8+7 hour October 20-21. (This is a maybe race for us.) 6. Barber 8+7 hour Dec 8-9 7. Sebring Double 7 hour Dec 29-30 (another maybe race and only if we don't do Sebring in Sept) If we don't do the Rd Am race, we could throw in another AMP race in Oct. Wasn't impressed the last time we ran it, but will see how it goes this year.
rockerbarc
We will be there missed this year, think we may rent a seat but not cofirmed yet. We haven't rented in a while due to sorting out engine problems. We have that worked out now and may pick up a driver.
theblue
it's on my wish list... but car has to do amazing at pitt and I need renters who will pay enough to make it worth it. Edited October 3, 2017 by theblue
housejoe
GTD Mustang will be there with a slightly altered line-up of guest Jockey's But who cares about that. What I wanna know is, is there a Lead Sled 2.0? Misson: "Hair o'the Dog"?
pintodave
Probably not an actual Lincoln 2.0, but there have been some "conversations" between a few of us of some absolutely terrible platforms to try and make respectable... Conversations have included copious amounts of alcohol, so when I say they are bad ideas, they are really bad ideas. But rest assured, they all involve a V8 and 22 gallons of gas. That is all I can divulge. At the rate we move, I can guarantee it would not be ready for April.
Cam Benty
Hmmmm. V8, 22 gallons of fuel capacity and alot of beer. Did a beer company sponsor one of the cars you are contemplating? 7 hours ago, pintodave said: Probably not an actual Lincoln 2.0, but there have been some "conversations" between a few of us of some absolutely terrible platforms to try and make respectable... I'm pretty sure the words "race" were never used in the same sentence in the vehicles we were discussing Of course, some of the standard stuff came up in conversation, like G-Bodies and ThunderChickens, or a minimalist-approach Town Car

I'll pass that along. The couple ideas we are pondering have never been attempted in Chump, probably for a reason LOL.

Cam Benty
Remember in 2013 a Fox platform won Daytona. Started 3 laps down and won by 5 laps. Maybe it is not such a bad idea. 12 hours ago, pintodave said: Oh heavens no. Cam Benty
“A minimalist approach to the Town Car” I have not seen a roadster Battleship. You will need two bottles of gas for the pla....ah smoke wrench. There is a lot of acreage on that monster. As a curtesy inform your local fire company when you get to cutting that whale. 22 hours ago, pintodave said: or a minimalist approach to the Town Car.
sonofamitch
When thinking of Daytona, my mind can't seem to get around what it would be like breaking an axle at close to 150mph in a car that is 33 years old. Sure is fun being one of the fastest cars there though. For a change.
