Guess we are going then.

Good, 6 months to get it all worked out.

This is currently what we are planning for the year in case you want to leave the car out here.  We most likely won't do both "maybe" races so looks like about 5 or 6 races.

1. Road Atlanta 14 hour Feb 3rd
2. Daytona 14 hour April 7th
3. NCM "National Championship" 8+8 hour Parc Ferme June 16-17
4. VIR 24 hour August 11-12 or Sebring 14 hour Sept 22 (1 or the other, not both.)
5. Road America 8+7 hour October 20-21.  (This is a maybe race for us.)
6. Barber 8+7 hour Dec 8-9
7. Sebring  Double 7 hour Dec 29-30 (another maybe race and only if we don't do Sebring in Sept)

If we don't do the Rd Am race, we could throw in another AMP race in Oct.  Wasn't impressed the last time we ran it, but will see how it goes this year.

Probably not an actual Lincoln 2.0, but there have been some "conversations" between a few of us of some absolutely terrible platforms to try and make respectable...

Conversations have included copious amounts of alcohol, so when I say they are bad ideas, they are really bad ideas. But rest assured, they all involve a V8 and 22 gallons of gas. That is all I can divulge. At the rate we move, I can guarantee it would not be ready for April.

Hmmmm. V8, 22 gallons of fuel capacity and alot of beer. Did a beer company sponsor one of the cars you are contemplating?

Oh heavens no. I'm pretty sure the words "race" were never used in the same sentence in the vehicles we were discussing

Of course, some of the standard stuff came up in conversation, like G-Bodies and ThunderChickens, or a minimalist-approach Town Car

I have one two 97 MKVIII for sale, titles, one runs, the other rblt short block & already de-airbagged!  Tons of ebay $ selling off the unneeded side mirrors/headlights/seat motors.

$1500 and I am guest driver 4 when it hits track ;)

I actually might know someone interested in those for a streetrod motor swap. I'll pass that along.

The couple ideas we are pondering have never been attempted in Chump, probably for a reason LOL.

Remember in 2013 a Fox platform won Daytona. Started 3 laps down and won by 5 laps. Maybe it is not such a bad idea.

“A minimalist approach to the Town Car” I have not seen a roadster Battleship. You will need two bottles of gas for the pla....ah smoke wrench. There is a lot of acreage on that monster. As a curtesy inform your local fire company when you get to cutting that whale.
