speedo
This fall when we brought a half dozen Chump cars to a show all of the interest was in the trophies. No one took a picture of our car but dozens of people took pictures of the trophies. I think they look great displayed in the family room. My wife thinks otherwise, I don't understand. Rex
My wife thinks otherwise, I don't understand. This is why we race, to get away from the Women we just don't understand! And the trophys are great. Winning is a "goal" that will probably never be reached, and totally ok with that, but getting one of the trophys is a DESIRE! Guest posnova
We pass ours around amongst the team members, displaying it in our offices. The base-plates aren't coated in anything, and I'm too lazy to do anything other than wipe it down with WD-40 or RemOil.
jbbugs
Is the trophy artist in need of any odd-ball,cool, hardware bits for his awesome masterpieces? If so, give me an address to send them to. I've got a whole shop with 29 years of aircooled VW junk in it. I started saving some of the unique pieces for this sort of stuff. I've got some neat oil pump gears, rocker arms, Ball Bearings, and other stuff that might work for him. Let me know if he would like it.I'll be glad to send it.Paul#43VW

When we got our first one, the only thing my team mates heard from me was "MINE MINE MINE NOT YOURS MINE".They are waaaay cool!!!

krek
We are going to augment our pitiful 22nd place National Chumpionship trophy with busted transmission bits (once we tear it down) as a reminder of what could have been. speedo
Only if it's cubed. It'll make a nice trophy base. The trophies are great!!!Light weight ceramic rotors for the base would be an improvement.

mostmint
Random thought: When I play in poker tournaments, the more players in the game the more that get paid, typically top 10% get paid. So when there are 70 teams in the race, think you could give out trophies for top 7?

I set aside a bucket in the shop to save up more hardware for you. I'll send another when it gets restocked.
