Teams are also highly advised to have an itemized list declaring all performance modifications to their race car using the points system in the 2017 BCR. Download the BCCR Herehttps://chumpcar.com/downloads/2017ChumpCarBCCR.pdf The Central Region Chumpionship Saturday Schedule: 7:30am Drivers Meeting (Victory Lane) 8:15am Cars to Grid 8:30am Start Endurance Race 5:15pm Pit Road Closes 5:30pm Red Flag Race – Parc Ferme 5:35pm Quick Impound (No Protests) The Parc Ferme procedure: 20 minutes prior to the end of day one, a warning is displayed to all cars on course from the S/F stand (furled white, etc). This is to signal that the pits are closing in five minutes. 15 minutes prior to the end of day one, pit road is closed. Cars already on pit road can finish their service and leave when they want. Cars who hit pit road after we close it, and are not damaged are sent down pit road as a pass through and back on to the track. No stopping at their pit box is allowed. Cars who hit pit road after we close it, and are damaged but repairable (flat tire, crash, etc) can go to their stall and repair the damage ONLY. No fuel or other mechanical work is allowed. Cars who hit pit road after we close it, and are damaged beyond repair (probably towed in) are taken to the paddock. With one lap to go before the day one checker, a Full Course Caution is displayed and the pace car is sent out to pick up the leader. The full field is collected and brought down pit road, keeping in mind the location of the timing loop. Once all cars have hit pit road, a Red Flag is displayed and Parc Ferme begins. Teams are allowed to remove their driver, remove video cameras and cover their car. This is all that is allowed. Sunday morning teams can remove tarps, install cameras and belt in new drivers starting at 8:45. All cars in the active field line must leave pit road behind the pace car for one pace lap. Cars who were in the paddock can join the field at the tail end of the pack. Any cars that were sent to their pit box as a damaged but repairable car during the time pit road was closed on Saturday cannot continue their repairs until the field leaves pit road Sunday morning. Regular fueling can resume once the race goes back to green Sunday. Please read carefully! General Info Read the supplemental rules, found here. It has everything you need to know, including pictures! All drivers, crew, volunteers, family, and friends must report to the ticket window at the registration building to sign the waivers and receive their waiver wristbands. You will not be allowed access to the venue without that wristband. The ticket window will be open on Thursday for teams that are testing. It will also be open: Fri 12pm - 7pm, Sat 6am - 5pm & Sun 6am - 4pm ALL drivers must have a current membership or your team will NOT be able to complete registration. They can sign up for their membership by logging in to their ChumpCar account here. https://chumpcar.com/register/login.php At the top of the page, it will tell you if your membership is current. If it is not, there is a link to complete your membership. Registration will no longer add drivers at the track. Team Captains must register all drivers and complete all payments before they come to registration. This can be done at any time before checking in at registration. You must go through tech inspection or have already completed your 2017 annual tech before you can go to registration. Please make sure you bring your log book to registration. Road America is holding a practice day the Friday before our event. Click here for info and to sign up. If you qualify for the Central Region Chumpionship please make sure you identify yourself at registration. Please email me if you have not made your pit stall requests. (Please check with your team captain first). I will send the list out next week. Please note that if you are not participating in Road Americas test day that you will not be able to enter the paddock until 3pm on Friday. You may park in the staging area until then. If any teams are coming from Upstate New York and have a little room in their trailers (2'x2') please email me. Road America Map Road America is doing some construction at the front office and main tunnel area. Therefore we must use Gate 5 and enter the paddock from the South. Please take note of the Staging Area as well as the other important areas listed on the map. Annual Tech for 2017 We want you to keep these things in mind while going through annual tech for 2017. Tech will be held at the scale house on the South side of the main paddock. The complete rules along with the latest revisions are posted on the ChumpCar web page here. Remember you are responsible for declaring all modifications to your car. You need to have someone knowledgeable with your car in case we have any questions. Be prepared to jack up your car and remove wheels. Bring your log book if you've been issued one. Bring your completed tech form, filled out legibly.(you'll need the second sheet for any powertrain swaps) Tech Form Swap Form You should have an itemized list of all your non-exempt components you are declaring in tech. If you have a 2017 tech sticker on your car and haven't changed anything there is no need to go through tech, but please make sure to bring your log book to registration. chriswinsagain
Sorry to be a nerd, but the Road America's website states private golf carts (and similar) are prohibited. Do you believe the track will enforce this on ChumpCar weekend? You can answer at chriscrider@bellsouth.net if you prefer to be on the DL. Would hate to comply and see it wasn't enforced. On the other hand, I would also hate to tow one 12 hours one-way and not be able to use it. enginerd
I called the track to ask about the test day. If, like us, your team will arrive around noon and you still want to participate in the test day, you can register at the gate and pay a reduced fee to run just the afternoon session. Also, 68 cars signed up now! Nice turnout. Last time I raced RA we had 55. By my count, these are the cars who are Chumpionship Eligible... let me know if I have missed teams or I have some on there which shouldn't be and I will edit this post to add them. Unsure on a couple of these cars with EC / not EC in the top 10. Ian
That's one hell of an entry list. Going to be a great weekend, we're getting excited already. How many pit stalls does RA have? Will they be doubling up? Giving assignments? Wild west style? Enquiring minds would like to know.

And the likelihood of the majority of the field (assuming there are even that many running at that point) coming in all at once, even less likely. Plus, the pit stalls are plenty big (in my opinion). Every race I've been to, we've had to share and you grid from your stall. No issues that we've seen.

Almost definitely yes (Im not the boss, so can only give you a 99% confidence on this one!). Typically you have 10 minutes or so to get the driver out, collect radios, lap timers, gopros, water bottles and cool suit stuff. Then in the morning they will give a similar 10 mins to install the removed items (driver, gopro, etc) along with checking tire pressures, checking oil, washing windows, etc.
