Event Tech and Check-in Process.
1A.  Race trailer staging will be in the outside parking lot. See image above.

1B.  Park your trailer. Know that we will fit close to 100 trailers in the small paddock.
2. Arrive at tech with ALL of your paperwork filled out. All tech sheets must be filled out. Gear check will also be held in the tech shed.
3. Only after passing tech will you then go to the Race Tower ground floor to register for the race. The team manager will go check the team in. Take you approved 2018 log-book. Please try and pay all fees paid in advance as this will speed you through the line. Those that do not get the wrath of Kathleen. And you really don't want that.
4. Once you are finished with registration, go have fun and prep for the upcoming test sessions and race.

Bring cash - Event t-shirts will be for sale.

Tighten those racing harnesses and gas up the race car.  Road Atlanta and 27 more challenging events that make up 2018 are here!

Did you get enough done in the "off-season"?  Neither did we.  No matter, Road Atlanta is here and that means the 2018 racing season is kicking off.  Read along to get a few details that will help make your weekend a little better.  And by the way, bring warm clothes.

Gates - Gates open at 5pm on Thursday.

Paddock - The paddock is first come first served.

Tech - Unless you had your 2018 tech done at Sebring in December, everyone will be getting teched at this one.  Bring your car through the tech line along with all your paperwork filled out.  Make sure you have read the rules (good news - no changes from 2017).  Swap cars with no paperwork will likely be put in EC unless tech is in a good mood.  Tech will be running Thursday night and all day Friday.

Registration -
Make sure you tech first, then bring your yellow logbook and tech sheet signed by us directly to registration.  Before you arrive, log in and check your driver roster for accuracy.  Make any corrections ahead of time.  If you are paid with the correct drivers, check-in is a 3-minute process.  If you are not coming (work issue, car issue, etc), email me to let me know you will not be there.

Test Day - Test time is included with your entry fee.  See the supps for the test schedule and times.  You do not need to be teched or registered before you go on track to test, but do not be late for either.  We will not stay open for you on Friday.

Novice School - 5pm Friday, 2nd floor of the scoring tower.

Pit Assignments - Here are your pit assignments.
Lights - We'll be racing for at least four hours in the dark, so headlights/taillights are required for this event.  Make sure they work and are aimed properly.

Saturday Night -  After the race, you can camp in the paddock and/or leave your trailer until Sunday morning.  Everyone needs to be out by 11am Sunday though.

A reminder: read through and print out the Supplemental Rules for this event here.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact Katherine Miller here.  Any other questions you can contact me here.

We're looking forward to seeing you all in GA!

What are the odds we can get a photoshoot with all three "M-stripe" e30's on the track?  I think this might be the first race I recall with all of us in attendance.

Easy to do it on the test day. Meet up in the pits, go nose to tail for a couple laps with the slowest one leading (so you don’t leave each other behind!) and have a photographer or two stationed around the track.

What's the Max entry for this race?

Limit is 90, but generally 5% or more of cars never make it to the green flag (especially with a test day on Friday) so it would not surprise me if the actual number of allowed entries was bumped to 95+.

91 cars!

Now 96... Why have a limit if we don't adhere to it? 96 cars is a lot for an already notorious event.

I guess the free test day will take care of 10-20 of those, but still.

1 or 2 will not pass tech. A couple will break on test day. And a few more will fail just getting out to pit lane race morning.
The boss knows what he is doing. :)

You know this over booking thing might catch on.  Next thing you know airlines will start over selling tickets on flights....
