As for the practice sessions on Friday, are they number for a reason? Are all of the cars allowed out in every session? Why isn't it just open practice all day aside from lunch?

All cars are allowed all sessions.   I can't answer the other question.

It takes a lot of people and equipment to staff the track while cars are out there.  Saturday is going to be a long day with a lot of staff working, I'm guessing Friday won't have as many people working and they will need some time off.  Friday is free BTW.

Perhaps it's to give workers a little break?  Tow cars in?  I can think of a variety of reasons.  It's all good

Well it's included as part of the race fee.... it's not 'free'. Any more than 'free' parts are 'free'.

The trophy you get for winning practice is bigger than the one for the race, so make sure you are at 12/10ths the whole time. Practice is broken into segments because points are scored in each segment just like NASCAR.

Dear God NO!  Even in jest this should never be mentioned given the carnage of RA "test days" in the past. Cars totaled due to others' aggressiveness, CTJ meetings, Black flags. Sort your car and drivers on Friday... then race on Saturday.

2) Punisher will probably walk them anyway. B)

But you can just run a GTLM car in AER, right? I haven't looked at their rules for 2018.

 CTJ meetings

What's the over/under on this happening on Friday again?  Given how clean the actual race was last year, maybe Mike should do this anyways?

Just out of curiosity why would somebody show up to this race with a car that can run a 1:33?
