mender
I just did an engine that I think might be of interest to some of the old timers out there and possibly a good story for an article. Part of the Pontiac heritage; the OHC six that was produced between '66 and '69. Lots of stuff done to it with a good back story and stout results. Does anyone have any contacts that might be interested in doing an article? It's one of the more unique builds that I've done.
Ogren-Engineering
Send a synopsis to Grassroots. . They like cool old stuff.
Bandit
Grassroots as Lizard said would probably be the best shot. The big rags like Hot Rod are essentially paid ads for their articles. Dunno if Weber is still buying ads.

Bandit
That stove is pretty kick ass. So much so you should show the forum. The gear heads here would love it.

The gear heads here would love it. You mean this one? It's just an old Pontiac straight six ... that made 367 hp @ 5500 rpm and 386 ft.lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm on pump gas. P.S. The headers pictured above are the owner's Clifford headers, we put them on for one last run before pulling the engine off the dyno. Here's a picture showing one of two header designs that I make for the OHC and an inside view of some of the work I did on the intake: Edited January 20, 2018 by mender

mender
Just an update, ran across a video of one of the pulls: And as an interesting aside, this engine with the mods as tested in the video (cam, carbs/intake and header) would only add 125 points to the 100 base VPi of the 6 cylinder first gen Firebird that it was available in. Just imagine, a Champ-legal car with an 8.6:1 PWR and 20% more fuel than a 200 point Fox-body Mustang ... Black Magic
How heavy is that 5 liter motor? I always assumed they were really heavy, but if sub 400 lbs would be fun in the camaro. And it's a Pontiac engine and was only available in the 1st Gen Firebird. Sorry, can't have it in a Camaro. And thanks, I'll contact them!
