NASCAR is officially dead

Recommended Posts

Just watched a recording of the clash at Daytona from earlier today. If they had zoomed in on the grass in the infield it would have been more exciting watching it grow.  Geeze, why can’t they do something to make an actual race go on?  I gave up on it years ago but was at someone’s house who was watching the playback.

I would be willing to bet our race there in April would be more enjoyable for the average tv viewer than what will go on there this week.

New cars, new rules and this is just a race to make the race. People aren't going to get to jumpy. You crash that car you go to the back of the pack on race day with your spare car...if you even have one. I'd like them to go back to a more factory appearing car, less dependent on draft so it'd be more racey for sure.

It certainly will be more enjoyable. We also have Paulie "The man with the golden voice" Veltum, and Doc "The wild man" Waldrop. Who does Nascar have?

I guess we were watching two different races, I saw lots that kept my interest.

Pretty impressive how tight the racing was and the skill level displayed to stay in the game over 75 laps.

Kind of hard not to be dependent on the draft at 200 mph.

If it weren't for the draft, the race would essentially turn into a dyno session.

If they allowed cross-checking in golf, I'm sure the average tv viewer would find it more enjoyable. :P

nothing wrong with that...lol I said NOT so dependent.  Cars were fast in the late 80's and actually looked like a car you could buy.

Yeah,  I guess you're right it's impressive to put your front bumper on the back bumper of the car in front of you never pulling out to pass because you just go backwards all the while going "oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh ssssssssshhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt I hope I don't wreck"

Cant talk back to Rusty Wallace or Jeff Gordon when they say some dumb poop,

What channel is Sonoma on? I'll be watching the 500 for sure but would check up on Chumpcar from time to time.

YouTube ChampCar Live channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRfr3h8Gkz_eh4o-mAu8s8Q

You clearly have some sort of device for the interwebs....
