SiberianDVM
Looks like all of rear suspension has been removed. I have a tilt bed trailer with a winch. How can I get this carcass onto it? Or would it be easier just to hire a wrecker operator to do it?
Technical Advisory Committee Chris Huggins Posted February 14, 2018 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted February 14, 2018 Plywood and Assuming you dont want to just drag it using the winch? Alternatively, Use an engine hoist or fork lift to pick up and back trailer under it.

SiberianDVM
Without the rear suspension under it, there is nothing for the dolly to sit on except the gas tank. I would probably want to put a fuel cell in it anyway, so that might be OK. Could use 2 floor jack to raise rear at seam just in front of rear tires, slide plywood under, place dolly under gas tank. Can't tell if tow hooks are under rear bumper brackets.

LAMR2
Have you really looked over the floors, framerails, etc? Zs rust easier than just about any other car. If it's that rough on the outside, it's likely to fall apart when you try to winch it or set it on a dolly.

Ron_e
Perhaps instead of "How" you might want to ask "Why". Although I totally get the V8 thing but a V8 might fold it up into a pretzel.
SiberianDVM
I'm well experienced in Z car rust repair. I had to repair/replace the frame rails, outer sills, floor pans, dog legs, rear valance and inner fenders on my 1970 Z. And most of the outer body on it has been replaced with fiberglass. With a full cage and replacement frame rails, most Z cars can be made safe. I think. It's either this or a Boxster. This looks more fun.

TiredBirds
I'd be afraid that the thing will pull apart as soon as presser was applied. I guess you could rig up some 2x4's and casters or something. Other than that you'd have to have a wrecker pick it up by the rear bumper.
