Guess I sold out too soon I think your price was about the status quo/average at the time. I've noticed that the price seems to be going up on used units, as people are not happy with the subscription system.

I picked up a battery one for 350 a few weeks ago. Hard to find the hard wired ones, but they are around. This seems like the going rate.
ABR-Glen
You couldn't buy them new when I last sold one either. Obviously they are getting more rare, but I'm slightly surprised they have gotten above the price they originally sold for.
chip
So the 5 year subscription is over $400, and if you quit racing you have nothing. Spend $500 on the old style and in 5 years you could probably get your money back...
DEE DEE
Sold. apparently the scca guys are getting min of $500 and some waaay over that I am told. I guess it's the subscription thing. This was not mine but I had 3 units last year that I sold for $275 each never knew they had grown in value. Jer
Sounds like the landscape is ripe for a competitor. I hope so, screw this monopoly. I still share mine with my old teammates, we mail it back and forth as needed.

But we don't do that many races and, seriously how long can it last at those prices? A competitor or they are going to need to lower subscription prices. Definitely have been high for a while. From what it appears though (from looking at Race monitor they appear to highlight when someone is using the X2 subscription, or whatever it is) I wouldn't think many people are actually buying the subscription. I know for us and the amount of races we do in a year, it is hardly justifiable compared to renting so why would we bother. If they aren't selling any new units, something has to give I would think. 18 hours ago, KSRD said: @thewheelerZ.. I have a spare one if you need to use for next event.. Thx! We will be in touch. Jab31169
Yea, we just bought a wired one for $500 shipped. It should hold its value and save us the $50 rental fee.
tdh136
Just FYI, the AMB160's work just as well as the 260's. They are cheaper. We've been running one for years.
