I can't do a live feed from there this spring. My son has to visit Virginia Tech for a Navy ROTC weekend, and I have to accompany him. My wife says that I have to push in every way I can for him to complete college THEN do his Navy time. I would be happy for him to do the enlisted thing, but he for some reason wants to be a Naval Aviator and an electrical/Mechanical Engineer.

But...I will be at the fall Harris Hill.

The Hills Are Alive!!

The Harris Hills are anyway...

So we are one short week away from our Harris Hill race and there are some details you need to know..

If you have raced here before you know the drill, probably better than I do. If you have not, there are a few differences to other tracks so be on the lookout for direction.

And in no particular order...

Driver Pools and Registration:
All Drivers must be current members of ChampCar!
Please make sure your driver pools are correctly updated.
The Registrar cannot make changes to your driver pool, please make sure your drivers are properly registered.

Transponders:
If you have your own, please make sure the number is correct. If you are renting one from us, PLEASE remember to return it after the race!

Food:
So perhaps you've heard of this South-by-Southwest music festival? Why might you be asking? Because every food truck is headed there like Hippies following the sound of a tambourine... That means no food concessions on site.

Supplemental Rules, part of our continuing plea to all racers, please read the supplemental rules here.

If you have specific questions about Registration you can email Laura O'Rourke here.

For all other questions, you can contact me here.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Harris Hill!

See you at the track -

Basil Weenie Racing is Austin TX based and will be there.  Live Streaming on Youtube.  And, It ALWAYS rains to HH.  There was some talk of running Counter Clockwise on this race but we will see.

Not one bit of that talk has included me.

However, it is a two-day event, so I'm open to suggestions.

Looking forward to meeting Dana and crew for this race. Mike Morrison said we should be in good hands.

Showing (as of today) 30% chance of rain Saturday and 50% Sunday. Probably not a popular opinion but we hope it rains all weekend. Our car does well in the rain and is the only chance of making it 2 hours on fuel. That is as long as the "river" doesn't start flowing in the "dam turn".

Last year we talked about running spring one way and Fall the other.  I personally like the saturday one way and sunday the other.  Just to mix it up a bit.  Mikie was running it last year.

Mike did give good words about Dana at Sonoma.  If it rains, which it usually does, the river will flow.  And sometime even if it isn't raining.
