Team Ludicrous Speed with be there!

LOTS of work on the car for reliability issues and small improvements.  New driver strategy for this race .  Hope to have new brakes on the car and maybe have pads last two days.  Pads haven't lasted two days at road america for us yet.

We currently have a spark plug soaking in penetration oil that doesn't want to come out.  Hope we aren't pulling the motor and head...

Looks like several fast cars will be there.  It will be tough competition as always.

This will be the first event for Over Engineered Motorsports in our new to us/old lemons '95 Celica.  We have the cage updated/modified to fit our drivers and are almost done rebuilding the engine, just need to drop the engine in and put some new brake consumables on and we should be ready to go. Looks like a good entry list so far, should be a fun attempt at finishing both days for us!

This will be Two Brothers first event EVER looking forward to it though. Roll cage is getting updated this weekend, trying to work through some fueling issues with the garbage stock fuel injection that comes on a 80's Mercedes. Our goal is to run all 16 hours and stay out of the way.

In the supplemental rules it shows the full course, i am assuming were running the bend and not the kink and that is just a generic overview? Also is there any test/tune on friday or just tech?

We run the bend.  Hopefully you didn’t just spark the annual debate on that topic.   For those who love that debate, you can always go reread the 2017 version.   I think that is why Bill ported all of the old threads!   :)

Looks like the track is running its own test day.  Entry available on the website, I think its $300 and ChampCar only IIRC

Track Day is totally worth it if you haven't run RA before.  Also, for Hotels, the Victorian Village in Elkhart Lake is the official hotel again.  I believe rooms are $67 a night fees included right now.  ~5 minutes from the track and close to some good places to eat and drink.  Cannot wait for this race!

Always a fun race to start the year with and we are all looking forward to a good solid and clean race to get the year off once again to a good start.

We have plans to also do the practice day to see if all the winter work stays together??? Wait we did not do any???????

See you all soon!  Had to toss the south thing in their as we brought that back from Barber even if it is not spelled right.

If you are from another part of the country, the town of Elkhart Lake is really cool.  It is almost like you went back in time to small-town America.  No McDonald’s or other drive through.  Just quaint restaurants and shops.  Definitely the place to stay, and very close to the track too.
