Clifford Beisler
We are going to be installing a fuel cell before the VIR 24hr race. Who has the best deal on a sfi/fia cell these days?
Administrators E. Tyler Pedersen Posted April 7, 2018 Administrators Report Share Posted April 7, 2018 Fuel Safe is hands down the best imo
cagedruss
How many gallons are you looking for? Do you want a real bladder or a plastic cell with certification?
Clifford Beisler
20 Gal. Not sure on what type i want. What are the feature and benefits of the two types?
Ian
In for answers. We're also contemplating a cell. Economy is important, because even the cheapest cell will be safer than the factory tank IMO.
Al36rx7
Proper, well thought out fuel cell installation is perhaps more crucial than the cell itself. ATL or Fuel Safe...Can't really go wrong with either.

DRVOLKS
There is more to a fuelcell install them just the fellcell. Yes FIA is the top of the line cert. Are you going to run other clubs? Is it in the Trunk with a firewall sealed? Do you need to make an incloser ? What kind of fuel pumps do you plan on using? Champ car lets you run a clear filler hose but Lemon it needs to be reinforced? Other club the vent must loop and be below the tank to leak on your feet when fueling!! How are you going to anchor it to the car

Technical Advisory Committee Ray Franck Posted April 15, 2018 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted April 15, 2018 It is not in the rules now BUT I feel some fuelcell instalation standards need to be written. . To be on the safe side look at Nascar late model fuelcell mounting and follow the requirements .. I think if you install as they require you may not have any work to do if Champcar makes cell install standards ..
