Bluebandit48
Rules state: 2.1.2. Vehicles with turbocharged or supercharged engines shall be moved to the next higher class. We have a B class car, and we were able to install a turbo, and remain within the 500 point cap. However, the ruling above would lead me to believe that the car would now be classed as a C class car. My question is; is the rule intended for cars that come with factory turbos, or does it apply to a car like ours that had a turbo added to it, so it automatically would be a C class car now that it has the turbo. If a turbo kit puts the car in the next class, then why would there also be points assigned to a turbo kit if it puts you in the next class. Thanks in advance for the clearification. Points and classes are totally unrelated. A thru D, everyone is still racing for the overall win using the same rule set and points structure.
Gearhead_42
Your B class becomes C class. The class is separate from the value.

Ogren-Engineering
Looking at our points, we could remove the headers and cam and install the turbo for 25ish pts. Can that be right?

Wittenauer Racing
I think an intercooler will cost you extra, but yes. If you have the fuel and an engine that can handle boost, it's a tempting option. "4.3.4. Parts included with non-OE turbocharger/supercharger installations are: exhaust/intake manifold, pressure tubing, cooling lines, oil lines, and boost control systems." "turbocharger and supercharger intercoolers, non-OE: 25 pts"
