tneker
Looking to source rolled plastic for air dam portion of a new front splitter / air dam. I found the Allstar 0.07" thick stuff and some 0.125" thick stuff only at Speedway Motors. Opinions on best approach?
bbaker480
Depending on where it is listed there appear to be two thicknesses but we've ordered from Amazon, Summit, Jegs, Speedway, and maybe somewhere else and it's always the same.
wvumtnbkr
The stuff sold on amazon is the correct stuff. It comes from Allstar. It is fairly light and very strong!

Strong enough to use to bounce the car back out of a tire wall if you angle the car just right....
Kentite
E&T Plastics in Akron, about 1 minute from Summit, sells 1/8” sheets of black ABS plastic. That’s what we have used for our air dam as well as side skirts for years. If I remember correctly it is about $50 for a 4’x8’ sheet. We are gonna go by some soon to redesign our air box and for tunnels in our backup splitter. They also sell Lexan fairly cheap. That is slightly more expensive than the roll plastic. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006K8HX56/ref=twister_B01N5A0NBY?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 Well, if you need wider than 24" go with Kentite's idea. They make the roll plastic in several colors (price changes a bit).
tneker
Thanks all, my bias towards "easy" steered me to the Allstar from Amazon approach.
