Not sure how many of you are following the happenings over in that other series, but some events over the weekend at Road Atlanta surpassed my understanding of how poor of sportsmanship would be displayed in amateur racing.

I've never witnessed such disappointing behavior in all my years in amateur motorsports, and I'm glad I wasn't there to see what happened.

The forum has been lacking in drama lately.  Discuss

Here you go.

I was going to rent from these guys a couple of years ago. They're based out of New Jersey. I decided not to for a few reasons.

But this is just ridiculous. If they do it in WRL, expect the same type of behavior when they run in Champcar.

WOW! That is nuts.  Good to know I doubt we see those cars in this series, but we might want to look at making sure that particular team is looked at quite closely if they decide to cross over here.

Reading their fb page it looks like they are going to play with AER....

What a bunch of d-bags.

That was kind of my intention with bringing it up, that and a general need to stir the pot.

I don't want to be anywhere near them, on track or off.

Moving this to a different part of the forum to house it.

I'm worried that at some point, some or all of that team may attempt to race with CCES, and that event should be examined Very closely.

It may not have happened at a ChampCar event, but make no mistake, there was ChampCar teams there, and will have far reaching effects on the US endurance racing landscape.  This makes it very much a Champcar discussion...

TLDR: waah, nobody goes in the extras forum!!!

The other series are all looking into it.  I can say that as an organization (got this direct from Mike) we have issued lifetime bans to the team and it's principals with Champcar, in addition to revoking their memberships.  We cannot afford to risk this type of behavior at any of our partner tracks.  They may be a problem, but they will not be OUR problem again.

I moved it because it does not have to do with ChampCar due to information I received from Mike after I shared the information I received about the incident last night.  See @Jer's response below as ChampCar has taken action.
