2019 VPI List Is Out!

Recommended Posts

So swapping in a stock S2000 engine into a S2000 gives a VPI of 1286...

Make: Honda
Model: S2000
Year: 2003
VPi: 500
Car Weight: 2528
Original HP: 237
New HP: 237
Points Added to VPi: 786
--->NEW VPI: 1286

So there must be fundamentally wrong with them?

the AP1 is listed on the VPI as 500.. not sure how you get an AP2 with a larger engine for the same points.  I think Jay may have been mistaken in that.

Less VTEC in the AP2...Duh.

Our VW Fox uses the Audi style longitudinal engine/trans and the W8 would fit.

I'm not sure if the rear tires would even touch the ground but 270hp in a sub 2000lb car would be pretty nice.

You would certainly need a brake upgrade for sure.....But it would be soooo much fun...LOL

14x6 rims and 185 60 14 tires would save a bunch of weight.     I think it’s going to be the hot set up.

I would run that in the rain!

Did I completely miss the part where there are now two VPI lists with much newer model years?  I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight with all the engine options that opened up.

VPI list 1902 is the newest one I am aware of?  Came out at the end of 2018 with the 2019 rules package.

He's right, there are two new lists on the rules&regulations page of the website.

Just think of it like a scavenger hunt to keep up with all the latest rules and interpretations, it's fun!

Buy your stock of "1999" model 4.8L silverado motors now if you havent already....

From a breif skim, an early to mid 90s ranger just got more interesting. Would be curious to see a swapped 535 E34 as well....

The top e34 is 530 points with the M60 engine. No way you are swapping it.

The list was getting too large to remain readable, so the bosses split it up.

remember... every quarter a new list comes out.

I know this is really asking alot, and we all know you are really, really busy, and dont have time for much, but can you please just notify the club when these things happen, and perhaps include a list of new cars in this publication.  Email to the members might be a good format for this.

Here is a basic format:

Quote

Members,

The Q2 VPI list has been released - see here

These were the cars added to the list:

99-05 Silverado 1500 V8 = 500 points

Etc

Etc

Also,

The link on the website that says "download the vpi table .pdf" now links to the old version

my brand new daily, ford fiesta ST, is a 500 point car.  woohoo  2600 lbs stock, and makes over 200whp with a flash.

2006 Audi A3 is 450, but the GTI of same generation which is the exact same car is not on the list?

if the cars are not being raced, they are not on the list. if you plan on racing that car, request the update.

Thanks Bill!   When will the Q4 list be released?  Can we add that date to the VPI list along with the rules and regs page?  I would assume Dec. 1st based on this release?  I'm going to need to schedule off of work those days.

You can find a list of all of the champcar pages by scrolling to the bottom of the website, and in the left column will be all of the pages of the website.

I was envisioning a Smoky style 60 or 70% size Silverado
