2019 Brainerd

Plum crazy

I do not believe we are going back to Brainerd in 2019-attendance was not enough.  Not closing the door on Brainerd in the future, but I believe the idea was to move that event around a bit in search of better attendance.  We'll see what happens with Hastings in 2019.  Another track we considered was Heartland Park.  Sorry.  Personally, I wished we raced at High Plains, where I'm going to test tomorrow (just outside Denver).  Great track, but not enough attendance to justify a race there right now.  Sadness

Best track in the country IMHO. (High Plains).

So so good for cars of our speed.

I love it too.  A driver can make such a big difference there.  We took my son's VW Passat out there so I could work with him on line and got a point by from a Caymen S hahaha

How about Blackhawk farms for a nice little Gingerman-like track?

In for Blackhawk!

You have to cross the track to get to the paddock and there is no bridge/tunnel, so not good for long (endurance) races.

I won an SCCA bracket enduro at Blackhawk in 2016 and the track was glorious for endurance racing.

How long was the race and how did they handle people crossing the track?

Surprised you aren't cheerleader for Autobahn to be the Brainerd replacement.

Looks like Lemons is going to try BIR this year, 3 endurance races there in one year may have been too many, but hopefully Champcar isn't left out when they try to get another date there in the future!

The bracket enduro for SCCA was 4 hours iirc. I didn’t know lemons was going BIR. With them going BIR Autobahn and Gingerman, they have a great lineup in the Midwest.

Champ puts on such great events, and I will still travel to run their events, but the local events for other series are very tempting.
