enginerd
That’s right! 325e is in the same generation as the higher value 325i, so it uses that value for swap. Edited November 17, 2018 by enginerd

Or I could run a automatic and get -75 without any secret packages or handshakes. Next question (to anyone ) What should be done with the 7 points I have left in my imaginary build? But I may need 5 of those pts if the rad wont work with the swap, no clue till I try... may be 6 mo from now. ASSuming I can make it fit, can the stock rad deal with 100hp more? So, what you should do is get a 325i and do the same swap instead of starting with 325e. Then you get the 64 liter fuel tank instead of 55 liters, the stock diff is better too (3.73 lsd). 7 points to max out at 530? 3.5 sq. ft. aluminium shark fin.

Technical Advisory Committee Chris Huggins Posted November 16, 2018 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) The stock rad can handle S54 swaps (330hp) so you should be good to go. Your 7 points will likely go to SQft materials costs to cover the wheels and protect the engine bits Edited November 16, 2018 by Huggy

I must have missed the change that allowed you to swap to a non-OE automatic and keep the -75. It used to be -75 for OE automatic only. That could be seriously reliable if you stick in whatever tank of an automatic that handles your current infinity v8! Also, you don’t really need a 325i, just claim one. I think once you replace tank with fuel cell, replace engine, trans, diff, there will be no way to tell the 325e from a 325i. Maybe. Black Magic
If going auto for 450ish points rwd tanker i might look at rx7, 944, 928, but you are on to something with the e30.... One way to fuel parity, we all just swap in the gear from our current cars into one of those platforms....

Nope He chose the highest trim himself, e30(M20B25), which was the correct (but inconsistently applied) way to do it in 2018. Since that rule was dropped for 2019 I'm assuming the swap calculator will be updated (soon), but it hasn't been yet. The calculator shows his 325e (E30-M20B27) is still starting at 375pts for now. We run a stock radiator with our M54B30 swap. Been in there 3 years, never had any issues. We run an electric fan in front of radiator but only use it when stopped for more than a few minutes.
Team Infiniti
Back to the top Sharky is a blast to drive and could be faster with a bit of dedicated development and $$ but we are getting consumed by consumables, the infiniti/bmw bastard combo has come back top of team talk. With a repurposed a/c condenser as trans cooler, this concept produces a 473 pt car, assuming we run wide tires and need some material pts for wheel flairs, also assuming I know nothing about this chassis and belong to no bmw forums, what other free and points sucking items will be required to make a e30 work? What e30 specific chassis maintenance is required on a 110,000 mile car to go racing?
