Indysupra
So I just noticed that pulleys are points. Removing ac and smog stuff was going to require a pulley from another car. So I take it that hits the 5 points for one or 10 for multiple?
Snorman
Yes, that is how we interpreted it. In our case, we modified the entire mounting bracket and removed the offending pulleys from the accessory drive and run a smaller belt. S. Indysupra
Seems aggressive for a couple pulleys.

Technical Advisory Committee Andrew D Johnson Posted November 21, 2018 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted November 21, 2018 • Pulleys, engine accessory, non-OE: 5 pts for one pulley, 10 pts for multiple pulleys
Snorman
Deleting pulleys costs zero points.
wvumtnbkr
True dat. I claim 10 pts because I redid my belt routing to a rwd version of my fwd engine. All Oem in the Oem location, just not from my engine. I talked with tech about this and they were okay including it in the 1500$ of the swap, but I'm still unsure. I have the points so I claim it. Indysupra
I knew it was about underdrive pulleys. We don’t have the points unfortunatly.
LAMR2
Why can't you just run a shorter belt? Routing problems? Gutting the compressor and smog pump and just using them as idler pulleys is always an option.
Indysupra
Thr air pumps are garbage and throw belts/lock up all the time. Can’t just run a shorter belt unfortunatly.
