Ok help me out the Porsche 924 will except the 944 running gear. With adding the 944 motor mounts to the 924 cross member the entire 944 motor trans and suspension is a bolt in mod. Its a pre 80s 924 tub with a 1985  944 running gear what would be the platform swap value ?

If you are putting a 944 engine into a 924, you should follow the engine swap rules starting with a 250 pt VPI and input the horsepower of the new engine into the swap calculator (this assumes you don't have to take the starting VPI of the 924 turbo, which most people seem to agree at the moment). This would not be a platform swap and you will probably come up with less points this way too.

If it has 944 engine, and 944 suspension, then it really should start at 944 value.

That's like saying any Civic with an Integra drivetrain and suspension should be valued as such.

My worthless feeling, any 924 swap with a 944 motor should use the 924S value, since it's essentially a 924 with a 944 engine swap from the factory.

Nah...the 924S is clearly a different generation 924, just like the 944 S2 is a different generation 944.

If it walks like a duck, and fly's like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and anyone over the age of 5 would call it a duck, then it should start at duck points.  Even though it began life as an egg.

Comparing the Civic/Integra with the 924/944 is quite a stretch.
