Leaves you exactly 37 calendar days to order, receive, and install them prior to tech for the first race of the year! Round3Racing
Any update on this? We're a new team. So, we don't even have 2018 decals. I hope that we can get everything in time for Road Atlanta.

Besides, it is a time honored tradition in auto racing to be installing your decals at a cold, rainy track and trying to get them to stick. 6 1

I checked with RVA Graphics and they informed me that they are waiting for ChampCar to give final approval.

Administrators Bill Strong Posted January 3, 2019 Administrators Report Share Posted January 3, 2019 Only the ChampCar 2018 Panels will be allowed from 2019 on. All ChumpCar panels are no longer allowed. We will have a new top panel with our new sponsors' logo that will overlay the current panels. New panels from RVA Graphics and Wraps will come pre-printed with the current sponsor. We are working on prototypes right now. So stay tuned. 5

For those of us that have our own equipment and like to show up ready, not trying to make stickers stick in the cold rain of north Georgia... in the past I have cut my own white panels and left sufficient room for the add-on sticker for the series to be added... from the pit wall, you can't tell the difference. What this allows me to do is cover the number panel and my normal number with a clear vinyl to protect it from being torn up too fast as the numbers panels the series as normally used where not of a thick quality vinyl that seemed to hold up well. Is there any reason while I would not be allowed to cut my own white panel and black numbers, and leave the area on the panel for the sponsors? I would just need to know size of the panel and whether we are doing that up and down thing or back to front to back. Plus, I'm moving three hours away from my car in a week and would really like to have this taken care of before I leave. Possibly even do a car reveal with my sponsor. Administrators Bill Strong Posted January 4, 2019 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2019 You can do anything you want. But you will need to run the RVA GFX supplied Number panel to get through tech. It will no longer be, here is your number AFTER tech. You will need to show up all stickered up with the correct decals, and with the decals in the correct place. If they are not, then no racing. Administrators Bill Strong Posted January 4, 2019 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2019 Like the guy that got all pissed off because I did not supply high enough resolution decals so he could print his own? But still printed them out. I put clear instructions on how to install the decals. I made pictures. Drawings. With arrows. We even made them in one complete sheet so you would not screw up the order of the decals. And you guys still put them all in the wrong spots. Every last one of you. Except for 1. and you know who you are. You are my friend for life. Thank you. But everyone else... 2
