That was awesome until a guy tried to dive bomb a 2 car wide situation into T6 making it a 3 car wide situation. Lots of broke cars. I have never been pissed at a race, but... I was pissed when I saw the video. It was not the 125 cars. It was the lack of traffic management by "experienced racers" that was the problem. With fewer cars there would be less opportunity to make bad decisions. Its a tough thing to balance.
Administrators Bill Strong Posted January 5, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 5, 2019 We are working on a "Poor Decision Calculator" to determine if you are qualified to race at Road Atlanta. So far all testing has allowed zero drivers. Something about "Race Cars" being a poor decision...
Racer28173
This is the track that MOST needs that in-car flagging system that is being developed. The locations of some of the flag stations are awful. I think the racing will get a lot better here when that system gets fully deployed.

SCCAchamp
Couple more questions Is there an onsite fuel station? Our car has a full passenger racing seat with harness, during the practice laps can a passenger that is also a paying driver ride along to help learn the track? thanks for the help. There are some high priced fuel pumps on site, never used them, there are also several off site gas stations within a few miles. In the past a passenger seat has been allowed for practice but must be removed for race day.

Onsite pumps might not be available due to the construction plus they are on the other side of the track in the paddock we would normally be in. Also as another reminder to people that the hills are one way going into the pro paddock with the entry down near turn 1 and the exit near turn 12 (step).
