Will you buy my team a beer or two too?

Dana,

Is it possible to send out a request that those who rent garages get the parking space behind their garage? This has been an issue in the past as the parking isn't well defined. Would be nice to be able to keep the trailer and all the stuff somewhat near the garage instead of half a mile away.

I usually put something about that in the Final Information email, but I can highlight it more this time. And you are correct, part of renting a garage includes the parking space across from the garage bay. Actually, because of the way that area is set up, the only teams that should be in there are the teams who rented garage spaces.

Renting one at ELM airport is probably the most convenient. ~20 minutes from the track. https://www.chemungcountyny.gov/departments/a_-_f_departments/airport/ground_transportation.php

Also, I'm a local. Let me know if you have any questions about the area.

It's only in the garages. Don't think it reaches all the way down to the pits.

All very good options. Of course, there's also an abundance of wineries and a smattering of breweries around the lakes. Two Goats (east side of Seneca Lake) has a gorgeous view and laid back atmosphere. You can eat anything you want there, as long as it's beef on weck 😉

There are some decent restaurants on Market Street in Corning. The Corning Museum of Glass is also a popular attraction.

These places are all within 30 minutes of the track. If you're willing to travel a little further (ie. Ithaca) then there are a number gorges and more restaurant options.

First time at the Glen. We are coming up on Thursday night from south PA with a 30' camper and I was wondering if that staging lot 3 is open for camping on Thursday like it is on Friday for late arrivals?

I'm planning on camping in the staging lot Thursday night.  I did that before a couple years ago and there were a handful of other teams doing the same.  IIRC there's no bathroom nearby nor anywhere to fill up fresh water for your RV.

Who you driving with Jerry? Tomek is coming to race with me again along with a couple of the other normal team.  Fingers crossed the Albino Rhino is set to run strong.  Excited to see what the big lump up front will drag us up to before braking into the bus stop!

Wait I thought I was racing with you? This is awkward. ;)

Ken's bringing one of his funky Civics after taking almost a year off from racing. Go easy on us so he'll wanna do more races later.

Thank looking to do some sight seeing any thoughts ??

This isn’t for everyone, but I found it fascinating to look up the old street course route on google and drive it once.  The hill back down to the lake, that they raced down with drum brakes, will give you huge respect for our predecessors.
