Petitions Due by 2/28/19

Recommended Posts

Do you have a rule that you want added or changed in the BCCR?  Well now is your chance to submit your petition.  You may run ideas by members of the TAC and have them help you write the petition.

Please submit all petitions here:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe6a6aMT6_KWLSdK-hSWPHwdR0J5vmz83ObSOvzqWQeHhUGwQ/viewform

I want the VPI of a particular car to be raised because it is laughably undervalued. Should I submit evidence for that through this petition process or is there a different avenue for VPI and / or swap weight changes?

I want to add an E30 M3 to the VPI list so all E30s will have to start an engine swap at 500+ points.  Do I need to submit a petition for this?

Is there a list of submitted and formally accepted petitions available.  Mine was already submitted and I want to make sure it's listed.

Listing petitions as they are accepted seems like a good idea so people don't submit duplicates.   I know there were duplicates last year for race gas and a couple of other items.

We will publish them after 2/28/19 when they are compiled. Feel free to list what you have submitted here. I want people to work together on writing a well thought out petition and use the TAC if needed. Sometimes the difference between an accepted petition and a denied petition is how it is worded.

I agree.

I wonder if @enginerd would be willing to sacrifice his post to make it the living list of petitions?

I submitted my petition a while back to change the swap calculator to use the Lowest listed weight for the chassis raced.  Meaning coupe takes coupe weight, vert takes vert weight, and AWD takes AWD weight.  No more swapped AWD, convertible sedan, with optional Rohls Royce lead insulation package for swap weight, but actual car is a no option coupe.......

I'm not 100% sure mine was worded properly, but I'm willing to work with anyone to improve it, then re-submit.

I have not been on the forum in a like a year. I see nothing has changed. Sad.

Was talking about the BMW M6...

But if your post is about the idea of petitioning to raise the value of a car, then yes, I have thought of doing that. I don’t see anything sad about this, tech seems to have made a mistake here and I want it corrected. Or I at least want an explanation of why the 255hp m6 is valued at less than the 169hp e30. Perhaps there is good cause.

I stand corrected then, sorry. Carry on.

See, it's no always what ya think... Was just givin' ya a hard time above cuz we know how you like to feel the love. :)

The M6 came in at a very odd VPI when compared to similar models.

How's the new car coming?

Great race at Rd ATL - it was fun to watch.

I just spent half the day compiling, sorting, spell checking, and putting the Petitions is a layout that makes them easy to read and sort through. The pages are all numbered overall, and each petition is numbered for reference.
There are currently 43 petitions entered into the system.
Chris Huggins is this year's, Troy Truglio.

I have submitted the final layout to Mike Chisek and Tyler for layout approval. As members add new petitions, it is an easy job to add them to the new 119-page document.

I have made the doc using large font sizes (12) for our more mature readers. Of course, when the items are approved they will be converted to a 6 for use in the BCCR :)

Not quite.  I think I wrote 1 petition asking for free poop (skid plate/sumpguard or whatever you want to call it).

Some BCCR clarification/correction ones

Some VPI adjustment ones, mostly for obscure or lesser raced options )

IIRC Im up to 29 so far, I have a list of more but I don't think they are all gonna get done.  Been struggling to get the car ready for VIR, BMW software is silly complex.

I for one think you should concentrate on doing more petitions. Less car, more typing.

Keep fighting that good fight for making BMWs faster via free parts.

Can we lower the Opel GT to 25 points?

It would not affect it's competitivity.  So why not?
