Rapido
Hi all - welcome to round 2 of the 2019 CCSS. Thanks to all who came out for the race last week at Road Atlanta, there was some great competition. Moving on to the next round and we're heading to the west coast to Sears Point/Infineon/Sonoma Raceway. It's a truncated round with only one practice race, so hopefully you can get some laps in before the championship round on the 13th. To try and be true to the real life ChampCar races here, we will not be having any night time running for these rounds. For which I, for one, am thankful. Good luck and see you on track. tyler_j
^ +1 I was running laps last night and had a hard time on a few locations getting my braking points dialed in. I am very glad this race will not be at night, it is going to be tough enough in full light with a large field! Should be fun!
Jab31169
Good practice, I'm still slow. You fast guys are just way too fast. I have some more learning to do apparently. My race was going well until my daughter decided to unplug my wheel. See you guys next week.

Hey @Jab31169 join the Discord server next week and I will be happy to do some lead follow time with you in practice and qualifying. I don't think I will have pole pace next week, but I am happy to help any way I can, for instance we are still freely sharing fuel numbers during the race which is usually top secret info.
Jab31169
I know where im losing most of it, the fast guys (IE: You and the rest of the HJ Crew) are just so much better in braking than myself and get back to gas faster than I do. Normally myself and @Gordo are in a Discord call since I like to jabber a lot when im driving. Edited February 7, 2019 by Jab31169
Rapido
Sessions are created for the championship rounds, link below for the broadcast of the Atlantic Division round, which will go live tomorrow at 8:50pm. We are currently looking at the feasibility of broadcasting the Pacific Division round, but would really love a bigger field to give the commentator more to talk about. Please spread the word!
cowboys647
Is this limited to just champcar competitors or can anyone that has iracing join?
Jab31169
Thanks for the races!! WUDU had two entries in both races. Atlantic was fun, nice big packs, really really clean and fast racing. The top 5 guys are on another level that I can't get to from my desk chair. The pacific only had 8 entries and was going well. Somehow I figured out how to get a quali lap of 1:49 while @David Haines took the rest of us to school. My race was over 3 laps in after a racing incident in the last hairpin took me out. Thanks again Hugh Jass guys for all you do!! The broadcast of the first race is awesome!! PS: Not gonnna lie, really glad this race is over...not a Sonoma fan. And yes its because I suck at it. Just now, cowboys647 said: Is this limited to just champcar competitors or can anyone that has iracing join? Anyone as long as they are slower than me
Rapido
@cowboys647 - open to anyone who wants to race! Only barrier to entry for the championship rounds is a D2.0 iRacing Road License. The purpose of the series is to introduce more online racers to ChampCar by allowing them to interact with the community, and to offer a prize that will get the fastest virtual drivers into a real world endurance race. Please spread the word to anyone you think might be interested, especially if they can race in the west-coast time slot!
Justin Hall
Awesome race last night, lots of close racing and fast drivers out there. I think I need to buy one of those walnut suits I was hearing so much about if I am to have a chance of winning a race. 2
Rapido
Thank you to everyone who came to the races this week, there was some great and clean driving on display, and good sportsmanship throughout. This isn't a particularly widely owned track on iRacing and yet we had strong fields of competitors. See below for updated points and a link to the broadcast in case you want to catch up or relive your moments of glory. Thanks, as ever, to our broadcast team who are doing such a great job this season. 1
