Scott
Recently ordered some new undergarments. I noticed that they had 2015 dates! I realize that ChampCar doesn't date out driver wear, but is this something I should raise an eyebrow about? Also, this wasn't something I bought on clearance or clear out that might explain the old dates. Thanks, Scott Edited February 11, 2019 by Scott
gsmith2424
I wouldn't be too worried about it. As long as the it is in good condition it should still be good. Out of curiosity who made the gear?
wvumtnbkr
Wasn't 2015 the most recent standards? I'm pretty sure that manufacture date is totally different than sfi date. I know the newest helmet standard is 2015.

The SFI rating doesn't have a date and the FIA does but it is linked to when the standard was put into place. I'm pretty sure for suits they haven't change in almost 20 years for FIA but I know the dates for helmets change pretty recently for FIA and that they have multiple ratings for helmets (Open Wheel and ones for GT/TC/WRC).
