thewheelerZ
@Bill StrongThis might be a annoying question, because I'm sure someone somewhere from TireRack specified, but why couldn't we make a windshield banner that is white with Red lettering a la their real logo and the number panel logo? Self serving question as it would fit my livery WAY nicer, so sorry for that. But also seems reasonable as it would reflect their actual logo right? FlorahDorah
Protip: do not overlay the white tire rack logo onto black duct tape. It doesn't stick very well. I saw a few decal failures like this at Sonoma.
hotchkis23
What happens to podium cars that don't have have them during impound? Like at Road Atlanta with a certain orange eclipse?

IPF Racing
@Bill Strong if we have enough room on our front fenders for the sponsor panel is this acceptable? It seems to be per the images but I want to make sure before I stick them on.

Administrators Bill Strong Posted March 14, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted March 14, 2019 They have to be displayed exactly like they are in the picture, either on the door under the mirror or on the front fender behind the tire. FlorahDorah
Really you guys? This has been answered. Try to keep up. The orange eclipse left tech with the correct decals. During the course of the day, it apparently lost its decals. Bill stated this elsewhere. Saw this at Sonoma as well.

We just took our old ones off and let me tell you they don't just fall off?? Takes a heat gun and then the glue is left behind and you need to take a 3M glue remover and lots of elbow grease to get that off..................... Oh yes a feel out and hit my head really hard.......what was I thinking.

Saw another car with the sponsor panel flapping in the wind. Give. It. A. Rest.

I just spent a nice Saturday afternoon with a heat gun and adhesive remover taking those things off, maybe So Cal is different than the Midwest, but I digress.... Also, when the "decal police" states you can't pass tech or be allowed on track without them, I would expect some enforcement, that and after watcing the entire live stream and discussing what we saw......maybe you need to Give. FlorahDorah
Oh for sure taking older stickers off requires a heat gun. Been doing that myself. But I know what happened at Sonoma because I was there. Were you at either race?
JDChristianson
Resting everyone, resting....deep breath. So the real question is, well ok there is no real question. Now is it in the rules weather they have to be right side up?
Ian
I can actually buy the "they fell off" excuse. We applied an RVA banner in the warm shop last year, then loaded the car the next morning and left for RA. When we stopped for lunch a few hours later, it was gone. Oddly, the replacement we applied in the cold rainy paddock stuck fine, and survived the whole weekend.
