Hi,

At the Harris Hill race this weekend there was a lot of contact, some of it caused cars to be off the track for repairs for some time.

To save weight I have removed all the bumpers and such, maybe this was a bad idea. I rather take a 0.1s slower laptime than causing a 30min off due to being hit by a car.

What do you for bumpers? Is a piece of thick iron bar as good as OEM bumbers? Or are the OEM bumpers softer to absorb energy?

Sounds crazy but can I put a metal bar over the tires? So if someone hit my tires they will hit the bar instead? It would obviously have to be removed when changing tires and doing maintenance.
